Nice on a rainy day :)

Visited here today and spent a good hour noisy round! Enjoyed the exhibitions they have and a real good selection as well. Rainy day outside so thought might of been busy but was... read more

Well organized and quite interesting museum. Lots of artifacts, some of them really unique (bone flute). Good for a rany day, but otherwise better to spend time outside on the streets of old town...

It is a very boring collection some of art pieces so poorly display. I am not surprised that museum is so deserted. It it completely waste of money. Entrance is 6€. Go somewhere else and spend better quality time. Thanks for reading review.

This well organized museum was a rainy day treat. It has artifacts from the Stone Age to the present. A recording of the oldest musical instrument ever found, a 60,000 year old Neanderthal flute could be heard. The bone flute is preserved in a temperature controlled case. You can buy a replica of it in the gift shop. Another beautiful... More

The National Museum of Slovenia building holds the National Museum and the Natural History Museum of Slovenia, so you can visit both at the same time. If you have the Ljubljana Card, admission to both is free. Just make sure you hold on to your tickets because you will need them downstairs and upstairs. The National Museum has tons of... More

This museum should have a clearer total. I was expecting a complete history of slovenia- as suggested by 'national museum' and in fact the museum focused only on the Roman era which was good, but not what I expected. I think there is another building which houses things from periods later than this

It's a nice quiet place on the outskirts of Ljubljana center. The exhibition is modest but is arranged in a very interesting way. There are a few interactive attractions that are a lot of fun, even for adults. The staff is very kind and helpful. The National Museum shares a building with the Museum of Natural History and it is... More

Unfortunatly it is a very poor museum, indeed. It only worths if you really want to see a few things from slovenians artists. Very small.

But the space itself has a sense of faded glory about it, as do some of the collections. There's still some interesting stuff to see (including, oddly, an Egyptian mummy), but we went here because it was the only museum open on the Monday and it was free with the Ljubljana Card. Under other circumstances we might not have, and... More

Another large Ljubljana building, but only a small proportion is used as a national museum. On the first floor there is a splendid prehistoric to Iron Age treasures temporary exhibition. Much better than similar exhibitions on the British Museum. Good explanations in English. Some amazingly ancient artefacts. Next door is the Roman exhibition. Again - well displayed, with short videos... More
