The ground flor of the Magistrat is open to visitors admission free. Don't be suprised if you meet the Mayor..

This Old Town Hall is small, with its steps up to a building not much bigger than a large house, but it goes back some way, and there is a small inner courtyard. As well as official duties going on here, it is used for exhibtions, festivals, receptions etc. Worth a quick look - it is free on the ground... More
This Town Hall is located in the middle of the Old Town , close to the Fountain and open to visitors . There are art exhibitions going on most of the times and an interesting one hour tour on Saturday afternoon around one o'clock . The guide wears a traditionnal Slovenian costume which adds to the interest .
You can visit the Town Hall and experience the beauty of the building while you see the current exhibition housed on the ground floor of the building. Well worth a visit and there is no charge.
You can make a quick stop here to see the intersting architecture. We actually saw the mayor of Ljubljana after exiting here and walking down the street - pretty cool!
Definitely not your usual town hall. I wish we had a local to tell us more about it but just peeking in and looking around was def. worth it. It was an interesting place.
