We went to see the stud farm early in the morning - the first guided visit starts at 10.00 AM. It was very nice and calm, becase there were not a lot of people although we were there on sunday. We had the privilege to have almost private guided tour - it was only 5 people in the gruop. Our... More

We visited with our two older children and all of us enjoyed the tour and the following performance. People who appreciate horses or history connected with the Austo-Hungarian Empire will get the most out of this. The tour provides a good overview of the history and walks you through both the older and newer buildings that make up the farm... More

I like horses and they were pretty but if your hobbies are not around horses this is not very special.

This was worth the special trip. Tours are done every hour, but there is a park to hang out in while waiting with a play area for children. The tour is interesting .

I dragged my husband along with me to visit Lipica, as it was me that wanted to go there, but surprisingly he enjoyed it as well. It was lovely to hear the history of the Lippizana horses and see the stallions and the mares with their foals, and also see the horses and riders during a training session. It is... More

This was part of an excursion with Thomson for something else we wanted to see - it came as a pair and we're glad it did as it was a great experience we would have otherwise missed. we were staying in Croatia and it was a long way by coach. we had lunch at the restaurant included in the excursion... The tour took you into various stables, it was very interesting and informative, you just wanted to stroke the wonderful horses but this is not possible. After the tour you visit the arena where a 45 minute display is provided, you leave just craving more. There is a café and souvenir shop.

Good tour of the horse barns and I learned about the rivalry between Austria (one site) and Slovenia (one site), since both raise Lipizzaner horses and both claim to be the one and only. I would be sure to come on the day that they demonstrate the horses abilities. We came on the wrong day.

Tour of the Sunday 7 June at 4PM. The guide started the explanation before 4PM, thanks... We visited only two stables, the only place where we saw horses which where tourist horses (not trained for performance) and young ones. We didn't saw the hippodrome neither the performance hall. Then we run through the museum in 5 minutes. The museum looked... More
