If in the area, the Savica waterfall is worth seeing. Unfortunately you have to pay to get on the trail and there are a lot of stairs along the path, so if your knees are bad be careful. The area though is very nice, and the falls at the end are a beautiful sight. I have seen it twice and... More

Well worth biking+hiking up, smaller fall than expected but very beautiful near sunset. The cost to see it is paltry, only a Euro or two.

We went to the waterfall when we stayed in Bohinj. When we arrived at the parking place, you had to pay 3 euro to park. From there you could do serveral walks. One leads you to a cabine, were you have to pay another 2,5 euro p.p. to use the path towards the waterfall... So, with 2 persons, it costs... More

A very nice walk to the spring of Sava river. A 20 or so minutes of nice walking and site seeing. Maybe some more activities could be available there and the parking fee and entrance could be lower.

It is a nice waterfall but there are better ones around (luke at Plitvice lakes), hike up is also quite steep, however still nice to visit if you are around Bohinj

From parking behind the Bohinj Lake (fee 3 EUR for a car) there is about 20 min. climb. After approx. 200 metres the rouad to waterfall splits from other directions and before passing the stone bridge you must pay the entrance fee (2 eur/pers.). The walking path is well prepared so the fee worth paying but still I was not... More

Easy to access by bus and a pleasant walk back to Ribcev Laz. Lots of steps up (and down, fairly obviously) but good views made it worth it. Use the Bohinj Guest card for a discount.

564 steps are what you'll need to climb to these waterfalls so a decent level of fitness is needed!! However, the waterfall is pretty impressive!

The trail to the waterfall is perhaps a 20 minute hike. It is well maintained and the views are lovely which includes the lake, the Vogel ski resort and Julian Alps. We saw the falls at its fullest having rained the day before.

If you are in Bohinj a visit to the Waterfall at Savica should be a must. A couple of warnings, if you are driving, the road is extremely narrow and winding in places, drive slowly as cars do surprise you coming the other way. A sign says the Waterfall is 20 minutes away, this is quite a slog uphill all... More
