This place is absolutely gorgeuos. It is a beautiful walk and takes about 1 -1,5 hour each way. You will pass very different scenery and at the end you'll reach a little cafe, where you can get food and drinks. A little hint: walk pass the cafe down some stairs and you'll see another beautiful waterfall.

In the fall there are not many crowds and the foliage is very colourful. The water is a beautiful colour and the trails are in good shape. The waterfalls and rushing water make for a very scenic walk

This place is amazing. Breathtakingly beautiful. The bridges are icey and some have fallen apart in the winter months so it's not very safe but worth the trip.

We were on the way to Croatia and had a plan stop by famous Lake Bled. It was nice, but full of people and brass music :). We asked for some nice natural part of Slovenia there. There was young couple from Maribor and they recommend us Vintgar. It was the best part of our trip. So nice places are... More

It was 'officially closed' everyone there warned us not to go it is a beautiful place we hoped over the wood which was not high and went in. We found the bridge broken half way in thus, making it impossible for us to continue though it was really dangerous as there were a lot of slippery patches and peaces of... More

A easy but beautiful hike on a boardwalk trail. The rushing river is dramatic, with very clear water. Make sure you go to the end and climb down and around to relax by the natural pool. Its very different from all of the white water along the boardwalk. It is quite close to Lake Bled. I recommend going to Vintar... More

It is 'closed' during winter which means it's free to enter, there's no gate entrance but just a sign. Visited in January but only managed to walk half the trail as a part of the trail is in disrepair and couldn't go any further. But still beautiful to see most of it...just not the waterfall at the end. One could... More

I recommend renting a bicycle and riding there like I did, it takes about 30 minutes from Bled. Of course you can also drive there by car. There is a parking lot. The sights are marvelous, the gorge and the colour of the river. The walk is pretty short, but worth it. You have to buy a ticket when entering... More

This hike follows a river down a narrow ravine and back. You can circle back out another way if you have time. We went to the end and then continued on the other side for half hour just to get a shot of the last fall. All told we spent 2 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. There are... More

We had just come a few days before from Plitvice National Park in Croatia which is supposed to be one of the top national parks in Europe, and even after beholding all the wonder and beauty of Plitvice we were still very impressed here, I'm so glad we did Vintgar Gorge, it was really beautiful, a must see when in...
