It was the first time i've been so close to the flow of the water in a gorge. Eventually you see it only from above. It had plenty of water, beautiful waterfall at the end. Easy to walk as there are bridges and wooden paths. 1.600 km easily done. Worth a lot by the beauty of the place!

Nice hike along the river, much on wooden walkways crossing the river and abutting it. Try to get there before the tour busses show up as the walkways are narrow. Some nice waterfalls and the gorge is impressive.

Beautiful river canyon trekking is remarkable walk path worth visiting. Color of the river in some places looks amazing and even cloudy day did not spoil that. Definitely recommend.

Our family enjoyed our walk through the gorge. It was a cold rainy day BUT don't let the weather put you off going. The scenery is breathtaking. An easy walk although not suitable for strollers/prams with very young children. We went by local bus to Podham and then walked the short way to Vintgar Gorge - we were then driven... More

We visited this gorge late afternoon after rain and virtually had the place to ourselves. Sheer limestone walls climb above you as you take the path/board walk way for 30min down the gorge, criss- crossing the river until you reach the entry point at the other end. Continue down past this point and you can view a terrific waterfall. one... More

Other than being a bit crowded with other hikers, this is amazing place to visit. We extended our hike by walking to and from Bled in a loop trail that also took us through quaint little villages and surrounding countryside (about three hours round trip). The trail, bridges and boardwalks allow visitors to enjoy lots of views of the river,... More

You can cycle here easily in 10-15minutes. Vintgar Gorge is beautiful and it makes you so humble. It is a very nice walk in the middle of the nature. Path is 1,6km long and it's very easy to walk. The place can be crowded, because you have to take the same path back from where you started. the Šum waterfall... More

the walk along Vintgar Gorge is spectacular and the clear blue water and snaking winding wooden walkway is a must-see when staying in Bled.

Wonderful wonderful, peaceful and quiet path. The air is filled with sound of birds singing and water running next to you. It is about 1.6KM lets say 25 minutes slow walking. Really beautiful place to visit.
