I walked from Bled (4km), and the small villages I passed through were very beatiful. But when I arrived to the entrance of Vintgar Gorje I was astonished. The waterfall, the path made of woods, the river...it was a fantastic place

Wonderfully waterfalls. Lot of water and views. Easy for children. Near by Bled. Recommend. Can be visited also when raining. Recommend.

Vintgar Gorge is stunningly beautiful. From the main car park, you pay a small admission fee - 4 Euros per person (reductions for children). You can then walk through the gorge, pausing to look at waterfalls. The path is reasonable underfoot but there are some steps so not suitable for the less mobile. Nevertheless, whilst we wore walking boots, others... More

We stayed at bled lake and chose this as a day trip. A bus leaves several locations around the lake at around 9 and then 10 every morning and returns at 12.30. Bus was empty in August so no problems or need to book in advance. The gorge is stunning and an easy walk with wooden paths. It is busy... More

I can imagine this attraction is easily missed if you're visiting Lake Bled but it's definitely worth saving the time for. If you are staying in Bled, I would recommend walking as it's a nice walk and only takes 3 hours there a back. A lovely way to spend a morning/afternoon in Bled. It did get quite busy (we were... A beautiful gorge just outside of Bled. The car park was busy when we arrived (10.30) and there were a lot of people so it felt a little rushed getting to the waterfall, not so many chances to line your family up for photos. But worth doing, the views were brilliant. We had lunch by the waterfall (there's a small... More

The Vintgar Gorge is an unmissable attraction in Slovenia. I really enjoyed walking through the gorge and exploring the natural streams and waterfalls. It is surely one of the best experiences that I had during my holiday in Slovenia since it offers amazing natural scenery.

I walked from Bled to the gorge, an easy walk which took me about 50 minutes through the countryside (pick the track through the fields not the road). You have to pay to enter the gorge, but it is only a couple of Euros. There are a mixture of wooden walkways and footpaths along the side of the river, and... More

Absolutely a must when you're in bled or in the region. It's about 10 minutes drive from Bled, and costed only 4 EUR in 2014
