We rode bikes up to the walk trail leading down the gorge and then walked. The river is fast flowing, and as the gorge deepens, there are many waterfalls - photo opportunities galore! We visited late in the afternoon when the sun was low which made the last of the walk quite cold. So it is wise to take a... More

Oct 4 Our hike to Vintgar Gorge started in Vasip, a small town where we were dropped off. This approach through the backside was an uphill walk that was challenging to some of us so early in the day and in the excursion. Adele Gray, our local guide, warned us about the loose gravely and slippery paths with exposed tree... More

I love nature so for me this was great. It is part of the Triglav National Park, short drive from Lake Bled. It is a walk mostly in between cliffs around beautiful clear stream with a lot of trout. We did not experience too many tourists there which was nice, the small entrance fee is well worth it. If you... More

This is a beautiful gorge which has wooden walkways for most of the length of the gorge. We visited the gorge on 10 October 2014. The autumn colors made this a very attractive place to be. There was a waterfall at the end of the gorge. Refreshments were available at both ends of the gorge It was a great way... More

We were staying in a little b & b in zasip so we walked along to vintgar gorge as recommended by our hosts. It's around 4 euros to enter which is very reasonable as there it's lots of wooden walkways which need to be maintained . It was a beautiful hot sunny day when we walked along the wooden walkway... There is a 4 euro suggested donation to enter the park and it is well worth it! The paths are clear and not difficult for the elderly or families with small children. Plan on at least an hour to the end of the path and make the slightly more strenuous hike to the waterfall at the end of the trail.... More

A wonderful attraction. A lovely walk along a wooden walkway, bridges over white water, waterfalls, brown trout, steep cliff sides, a photographer's paradise. Look out for the little stone towers (we call them cairns) which people have started and others added to for luck. We were lucky to be there when the leaves were changing and the colours were beautiful.... More

Mother Nature at its best. Get an electric bike from pr1mo tours and travel by bike! Lovely walk along the gorge. Beautiful place.

When I found it even very nice to visit this during a rainy day, imagine what it could be when the sun is shining. Beautiful piece of nature, well worth taking the time to visit it. Walk down, drink something and come back. And do not at all hurry, take your time and enjoy. Surprisingly enough not so touristical, a... More
