Well worth a visit just for the stunning views you get from this ancient castle. It’s quite a steep climb to get there, so consider taking a bus or taxi (14 Euros each way) even when you do there is still a steep walk up the cobbled lane to the castle entrance – those with pushchairs be aware! You have... More

If you happen to be in Slovenia it is a must to see the Bled lake (and best views are from the Bled castle). Castle also has a small museum which is interesting to see and caffeteria where you can have coffe with great views on the lake and alps.

I think if you are staying in Bled a visit to the castle is a must if only for the views alone. We set off quite early morning to climb up the hill before it got too hot and also before it became too busy with the coach tours. The museum is quite interesting but as other reviewers have said... The view from the Castle is fantastic, and there are small shops and cafes there as well. We saw the wine cellar where you can buy local wine (bit of a rip-off but you get a bottle With the Castle on it:)). The museum part is also interesting.

Stunning views from this ancient castle. Well worth a visit during the day to take in the view and also definitely worth a visit for an evening meal. Very steep hill though so take a taxi - they're dear, at between 7 and 15 Euros one way and you also have to pay to get into the castle, but it... More

I agree with other reviewers - this is far too expensive for what you get. We spent around an hour there and my little one was a bit disappointed as it was really visiting a museum rather than exploring an old castle. Everything in the museum was labelled in Slovenian and English. There was a room called 'the knight's room'... More

9 euro entry fee for adults and 7 euro for students, it could go over 30 euros for a family, the views are stunning from there but pricey! There's a restaurant too and free wifi but that's about it.

The castle is perfectly restored and all details (including commercial shops and restaurants) blend in nicely with the historical features. The museum is informative, well organized and interesting. But the main attraction of the castle is the view, which is worth the climb and the reasonable entrance fee.

Yes the view is fantastic and I would go here, but seriously, I was taken aback by the entrance fee. €9 for an adult and €7 for a student, so it cost my family €32 to visit it! There is a fair bit to do here but it was most definitely not worth €32.

The views are stunning & great for some photos! The inside of the castle is interesting as well. During the night it is very beautiful to see from lake bled as the castle is situated on top of the mountain.
