The exhibitions were informative but you pay mainly to get an amazing view of Lake Bled. In a little corner near the entrance there is a cellar with a monk. For a fee he will teach you how to slice off the top of a wine bottle. I didn't try it but he was nice enough to invite me to... More

We had to take a tour of this as it was the last of the top 5 castles in Slovenia. Mostly well worth it, with a lot of effort to put appropriate quality attractions into the complex. But we got locked inside the museum for 30 minutes while a medieval pantomime was presented outside the museum doors, and without any... More

Steeped in history, fantastic views. Advise to catch bus as there are a lot of steps. Liked the vintage print room where you can print your own message.

There is a small museum, a chapel and a restaurant. The most memorable thing is the view though. Worth it.

Bled Castle sits high up on a precipice several hundred feet above Lake Bled. It is a medieval castle built almost 1,000 years ago and has spectacular views down into Lake Bled, little Bled Island, and the surrounding Julian Alps. Definitely worth a visit while visiting the Lake Bled area.

We took the path up to the castle and it was a good hike, with a steep entrance to the castle. All of the staff we encountered at the castle were incredibly informative and kind, well worth the walk and the views were unmatched.

During my day at Lake Bled, Slovenia, I also visited the Castle overlooking the Lake, and what a magical and mystical experience this was! It involves a bit of an upward climb from the adjacent coach and car park, but once there, one is rewarded by marvellous views of the Lake on one side, and a large forest on the... More

I will recommend everyone to climb up to the Castle and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake with small island. Truly fantastic.

The castle itself is rather dull, but the view from the top is worth the visit. We didn't try the restaurant but especially the tables with unobstucted view to the lake seemed nice. If you're a first timer in Bled, give it a try.

Worth a trip if you are in Bled, but not comparable to the Ljubljana castle. Restaurant has amazing views if you book early and the weather is fine; the food is good but not amazing. Service is 1st class though, and it's worth the experience.
