We didn't get full value from our entrance fee as many parts of the castle were under construction. The view is still something to behold and seeing the printing press was impressive. Not much else to write home about.

It's beautiful from the outside but the inside is just average as far as castles go. There aren't' any tours. The blacksmith shop is interesting though, as is the print shop. The views from the castle are great.

We hiked up the steps on a windy day, not really sure what to expect. Pleasantly surprised by how much is in the castle. Museums with lots of information, print shop, wine cellar, restaurant, cafe to name but a few. The view from the is stunning. We stopped at the restaurant for a light lunch with wine and admired the... More

The castle has one of only 3 surviving Gutenberg presses and you can watch it in action and have citations printed with movable type with your customized name. The castle is wonderful to walk around and take in the spectacular views. The museum is fascinating. The castle is a must.

We visited here in April 2015, a big crane was erected doing maintenance on the castle. You can get to the castle by walking up a fairly step set of steps from the lake side or the easier option from the other side. Entry fee was 9EUR per adult. The castle is very much in keeping with the rest of Bled - in that you can either get involved in activities or take a complete back seat and relax for your entire trip. It is a hike up - you can either take a taxi, walk up the road at the back or get there the hard-core way by... More

Don't miss it: it is a little castle just like the fairytale ones, with a little wooden gate, stone construction and all, and the view from up top are breathtaking!! Don't forget your camera! And don't worry, it won't take much of your time, there's nothing really to do there. You are going for the experience of being in a... More

The location is wonderful but it is a climb for the fit. Well worth the effort and the view from the ramparts is excellent. Well displayed and curated small exhibitions and real live monks selling locally made wine. Our visit on Easter Sunday was great fun a really multinational experience.

Nice medieval castle built on a cliff overlooking the lake. The castle itself is one of the most uninteresting I have ever seen. But it has a fabulous view over the whole lake.

It's a bit of a hike to get there, but it's a well maintained route and the views are amazing. I thought it was well worth the 9 euro entry fee. There is plenty to keep you amused, and I had a lovely chat with the folks in the printing room and forge - they were really lovely guys with... More
