We really enjoyed panoramic views from the castle. Bled lake and Bled island looks very lovely. The castle is very old and beautiful. There are a museum and a restaurant with panoramic view on the lake in the castle.

I must agree with most other reviewers that the highlights of this place are the views of the lake and town from the terraces. The cafés are also nice but the actual castle exhibits are a real disappointment. I'm sure that a lot of thought, effort and money has been invested in them but, in my view, they are deadly... More

If you're not into walking uphill much I recommend going with a little train that leaves from the center of Bled quite often. If you decide to walk, it's endless stairs upwards or else as we did, find the little path at the side which is rather muddy after rain but somehow seems easier than the stairs. In the castle... Bit of a climb to get there, best not up the steps but the route from the church. Not overwhelmed by the museum but the views from the top are lovely.

I came here on a warm summer's day in August and it was fairly packed, though most people were sitting outside beside the cafe rather than inside the buildings. For me the main highlight was the views of the lake, though I liked some of the archaeological exhibits in the museum as that's an interest of mine. The walk up... More

I thought that 9 euros was a bit too much for the castle but for the views it's worth it. The castle itself is quite small inside, the museum was ok, but it was a gorgeous day and we had a coffee and a cake at the cafe which was nice. There is a path on the other side of... More

€9 to walk through the castle was not worth it. Read about it and enjoy the view. It's cool to look out on the lake and surrounding area, but the restoration of the inside and the exhibits were pretty boring.

The Bled Castle is much more impressive from the outside than it is from the inside. The walk up from the lake is quite steep, but the views from the top are great.

My husband and I were really amazed by the castle. We went in with low expectations (because of the reviews here) but we felt the 9 euros each was a great value, especially compared with some of the prices we have paid at other castles. You have many opportunities for really great views, can view a really nice museum (we... More

Being left to find the restaurant after admission was a bit strange. The meal was brilliant..a huge beef fillet cooked to perfection .Excellent menu and good value too!
