I have been here in several seasons (march, may, september) and it was always absolutely magical. In my opinion in the top 3 of best places to visit in Europe. I recommend walking around the lake and hiking up to the castle. A visit to the little island is also very nice. You can go with a small "ferry" or... More

I first saw pictures of Lake Bled when watching the world rowing championships. I didn't believe that it could be as beautiful in real life but it more than surpassed this. It is beautifully clean - the water was sparkling greeny blue. All was peaceful and calm there . Although we were in high season, there were few people there... More

Beautiful lake! We stayed at the Premier Best Western. It was a block or two off the lake with a view of the castle. We walked around the clear lake enjoying the path and people. The next day we took a pletna boat ride to the small island and church in the middle. We also hiked up to the castle... More

I'd seen photos of Lake Bled but it exceeded expectations. It was not nearly as commercialised as we had expected & although we were there in high season & there were tourists it never seemed busy or crowded. It's located in stunning alpine countryside & the people are welcoming & charming. We were surprised how reasonably priced everything was- this... More

What more could you want - an aquamarine lake the colour of Lake Louise, a pretty island in the middle with a quaint mediaeval church, and an elevated former royal castle with breathtaking views looking down over this pretty lake in Slovenia. Prices are good here and the gondoliers who take you out to the island are wonderful. You can... More

We stayed in kranjska Gora and cycled to lake bled which was approx. 30 miles, hilly in places but equally you could get off and walk (used D2 cycle path and then mostly off road to the lake) it was very hot on the day we visited, view of lake and castle stunning - lake warm and wished we took... This was by far the cleanest and most bright lake we have ever been. Good to swim, hire a row boat, enjoy the blue clear water!

I liked the scenery, fresh air, night life. You can walk or jog around the lake. In the evening you can go to a pub or go to a restaurant. You can take boat ridesto the island. On the island there is a church, restaurant and a souvenier shop. There was nothing I disliked.

Lake Bled is a beautiful lake, but I once again don't understand what the fuss is all about it. If you already are familiar with the Alps, you will know that this lake is pretty but not exceptional nor wonderful even more when hanging around in town. Everything is just made for the tourist, and the tourist likes it... disgusting.... More

Lake Bled simply has to be seen to realise how stunning and beautiful this place is, whatever the weather it is a wonderful location to visit. If you have time, I fully reccomend you hire a rowing boat or go on one of the boats you pay a few Euros to take you out to the Island which is Bleds'... More
