Lake Bled is one of the largest natural lakes in Slovenia. Beautiful and stunning during Spring and Summer time. Touristic boats called pletnas and Bled cream cake are popular there. The small island in the middle of the lake is the only natural lake island in Slovenia. Above the lake is a steep cliff on which stands the Bled Castle.... More

I went there with my daughter and her family. It was a bit misty which just added to the beauty. Loved the little church on the island in the center of the lake, although we did not go out to it. Walked up to the castle but did not go in. It was nice just walking around its area. Really... More

Take a ride on a bicycle around the lake and enjoy wonderful views - explore the castle with a perfect overlooking outlook, delicious food in one of the many nice restaurants and maybe spend the afternoon at the international 18 hole golf course in Bled The best time for me is autumn when the leafs expose their most beautiful colors

Lake bled is not to be missed in Slovenia! Exceeding my expectations. Take a row boat out and you can get off on the island and explore a little bit. You walk the whole way around the lake, nice to do at night (sunset) or in the moring (sunrise). The castle is nice to look at but not really worth... More

Definitely worth a trip to the castle and a walk around the lake which takes about 1hr 15 mins - 2 hrs depending on how often you stop to take another photograph. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and the views amazing. You must try the Bled cream cake or one of the other many cakes in one of the abundant... More

We loved to walk around the lake, made hundreds of photos. You have to try the boat trip to the island, although it's a bit overpriced.

Simply stunning. A magical islet on a perfect blue lake. take the row boat ride out to the beautiful church & ring the church bell 3 times....sending your wishes to heaven. Visit the 1000 year old castle on its shore & finish the day with the Lakes famous cream cakes in on the the many lakeside restaurants.

There is a very easy walk of about 4 miles completely around the lake. Benches are along the way so you can stop to rest to enjoy the views. You really have to stop every 10 minutes to take pictures. I was there in the winter so many of the things to do were unfortunately closed

The lake area is ideal for a walk with some view-points to relax and enjoy the view of the lake and the castle. Unfortunately I need to decide between catching the last boat to the castle and the famous cream-cake and the cream-cake won, no regrets by the way.
