Bled is a wonderful place for a vacation. I was there with my fiance in May 2012 and we absolutely loved it. The lake itself is incredible, it is so beautiful and peaceful it is almost unreal. It is situated in the mountains, which are very scenic, to say the very least.

we liked the boats across the lake to the island. The path around the lake was a lovely walk. There is a little road train you can go around the lake on and also horses pulling carriages. On a bright sunny day it is lovely. Pavements in the town a bit narrow and un even at times.

What is there to dislike about Lake Bled? It's gorgeous and quaint. There is so much to do for a family and so much beauty to take in. It's a very sporty town and I think the best times to go are in the summer (water sports) and winter (skiing).

I just visited lake Bled. It's absolutely beautiful, you can spend there half a day and then couple hours at the gorge. Don't combine Bohin and lake Bled, it's too much for one day.
I just want to stress the issue of hiring a car.it's inevitable nessesity when you travel in Slovenia.

This place was high on our list of places to see in Slovenia and we certainly were not disappointed! I was not really prepared for the beauty of Lake Bled and its surroundings. Is this really as stunning a place as you read about? In a word....Yes. The lake, it has to be said is not very big. I believe it's only a 4mile walk all around but it is very beautiful. The path all the way around the lake can be walked or cycled , plus there are small trains & horse...
