Beautiful view at sunset ! The lake is like a mirror for the surrounding mountains. Have a hiking trail around the lake. It takes around 5 hours.

If you are fed off with the crowd and how touristy things are at Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj is definitely a much better place to visit. Buses are available from Lake Bled/Ljubljana (at hourly intervals as in summer schedule). The ride from Lake Bled takes less than 1 hour, but you pass through a few villages (with extremely narrow roads... More

This lake is spectacular, famous for the still water and perfect reflection. This is what I initially expect Lake Bled to be...but found out it's nothing that matches my expectation, Lake Bohinj is really what I was looking for!!! Natural beauty, wilderness, proper natural hiking trails around it, no shops, no hotel, not commercialized, it's pure nature!! Visited during winter... More

This is a gorgeous lake nestled in the Slovenian alps. There's a pretty small church "Succursal Church of the holy spirit by the lake". Plenty of stop off points for great views

Preferred this to Bled, lots to do around the lake - boat trips, canoe and bike hire even swimming if you don't mind the cold water. Took the cable car up to vogel for truly amazing views. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Were undecided which Lake was the better. All the crowds were at Lake Bled, the Castle, Casino & Shops but on a really wet day we enjoyed the drive out to the end of Lake Bohinj and had the place (nearly) to ourselves. Some great views, waterfalls & during Winter, a Ski Resort plus the magic Slovenian Mountains dominate the... More

This is a very pretty place, very quiet, far from the town. You can see the different montains of Slovenia. The magnificent of the mountains so close is an excellent experience. There are a lot of thing to do, and discover.
