After a business trip to Croatia I was recommended Lake Bohinj by every Slovak college I came into contact with. On arrival to the lake I instantly understood why. Such unspoiled beauty I have never experienced. Quite simply breathtaking. We were lucky with the weather 25degrees so had a dip in the lake. The water was crystal clear with very... More

Slovenia is so underrated and under-marketed! It is an amazingly green beautiful country! Bohinj of THE discovery! It is such a beautiful and tranquil place! The lake is absolutely stunning with clouds and mountains reflecting in it. There is so much to do outdoors there but just a walk around the lake is quite an experience. Definitely recommend going there... More

Located near the more famous Bled, this lake is the pace to go if you like an adventurous vacation. You can walk or ride a bike along many paths around the mountains surrounding the lake, as well as rent a boat or a canoe. If you really need some adrenaline, you can even try paragliding. It is not very touristy,... More

This kind of disturbingly pleasant silence must be experienced to fully appreciate. The nature is so calm and strong it's almost unbelievable. In a word Breathtaking.

Maybe because it was kind of cloudy, not swimming weather or I have seen lots of lakes, but I thought, that is a pretty lake, but glad I didn't make a day of it. Not very touristy, which is nice. Parking isn't free (except for a church away from the center that had 1 hour parking). We drove around part... More

One of the most beautiful places I've been to. Pristine waters, surrounded by snow capped mountains (still some snow left in April). Possible to walk around the lake. Near other places of natural beauty.

Located in National park Triglav, these amazing lake is great for walks and photoshooting (views are incredible). Water is usually cold, calm and very clean, mountains are reflected in it, easy enough to find a place nearby to sit, relax and breathe. Not as crowded as Bled lake, so is a really cool place to have some sightseeing and connect... More

Stayed here for 3 days. In my opinion more beautiful than Lake Bled - larger, more peaceful, less development. We walked from one end of lake to other (via the non-road side). Great 2 hour walk. We also completed treks to a nearby waterfall and a gorge. Lots on offer in terms of exploring. Beware very expensive taxi rides in... More

You arrive at this lake if you leave Bled heading towards Slap Savica waterfall. There is various pay parking around the lake. (we couldnt find free places). Allow 3 hours to walk around. Very nice walk.
