It is a magnificent lake surrounded with the Julian Alps. This lake has crystal clear waters and it has some fine scenery. The church found near the lake is also worth visiting since it is centuries old and it has interesting frescoes.

Even though it was raining we decide to boat trips on Lake Bohinj. View from the boat around the area of Lake Bohinj is wonderful for 10,50 EUR per person for both directions for children 4 years old free

Lake Bohinj is super clean, allows no motor boats and is generally a nice setting. We swam the length of the lake (4.4km) as part of a swimtrek tour and enjoyed every minute. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants plus activities such as canoeing and climbing. Cable car up the mountain side gives good views, apparently the steepest in europe... More

We wanted to see some of the national park but were limited on time, so we just took the bus here from Bled, although the bus line goes all the way to the capitol. The lake offered just as pretty if not better views than lake bled itself. We rented bikes and went to the gondola, which is somewhat of... More

Birds, clean water, nice kanouing...a very nice sunny day. Anyone who likes lakes should go there. Parking should be better organized and less expensive. You are paying for parking at every spot in Bohinj which is just anoying. Rest is very nice and clean. Well done.

It was recommended to us, that we visit Lake Bohinj. It is about 27Km from Bled. We were so glad that we did, it is absolutely outstanding. Lake Bled is beautiful with the Castle high on the hill and the church on the island but all around the lake is a lot more commercialised. Lake Bohinj is much more of... More

We spent several days staying around Lake Bohinj and found it was just a beautiful, relaxing place to be. We walked round it, cycled along the road beside it and visited some of the villages nearby, canoed on it and kayaked down the river coming out of it! Even in poor weather we found it to be really beautiful and... More

Took a day trip from lake bled because we heard this lake was a lot quieter. Did not disappoint. Beautiful and still water and walk up to the waterfall st far end of the lake is a must do. Took the trail around the lake on the way back which was also beautiful and peaceful. The end was rewarded with... More

We had a great day at Lake Bohinj. We walked around the lake (approximately 3 hours), swam (unlike Bled, you can swim anywhere) and enjoyed Bohinj's more raw and less touristy feel. Savica Slap (waterfall) is worth a visit too, if you can find the right buses. There are a lot of reviews saying Bohinj is far better than Bled.... More

Amazing lake, beautiful nature. An ancient church stand near by the lake, impressive structure. Recommend to visit.
