We had a great time at Lake Bohinj ; we particularly enjoyed tandem paragliding from atop Mt. Vogel over the lake.

Bigger then Lake Bled and less crowded even in august. Renting a boat costs half than in Bled and absolutely worth. You can walk round the lake. There are no roads for cars on the north shore, so you can explore this area by bike or on foot. Lake Bohinj is the best starting point to explore Triglav National Park.

This is one of the most beautiful places on earth! Here are many activities for active travelers, you can go rafting, stand up paddling etc. The athmosphere was warm and loving and where ever you look it only gets more and more beautiful. I liked Bohinj much more than Bled that was more filled with tourists and not so versatile... More

Much more rustic than Bled and less things to do except enjoying the lake. We also went to the ski resort/lifts in August (Vogel ski resort) and enjoyed the amzing views from the top. Almost no lines in August

We went to lake Bohinj and to lake Bled! I must say we preferred lake Bohinj way more than Bled! Way less tourist and lots of fun with cool activities to do. Rafting, mini rafting, canyoning and so on, we also went to a climbing school and had so much fun there! The people were so friendly and because of... More

When we planned our tour we were hesitating of choosing Bled or Bohinj to stay at for a few nights. Since we were traveling with a 4 month old baby we opted for Bled after all cz the infrastructure (i.e restaurants and walking roads) seemed to be more developed. In terms of concrete/asphalt walking roads we were right cz around... More

We rent a kanoa (it's cheaper than Bled one's) for 9€/ 1h. Bohinj is larger than Bled. The difference is this is calmer, there are no so much tourist, and I think the landscape is more authentic. Beautiful place to go, where you can go with children, dog etc.

My family and I enjoyed this place a lot. We had our own boat challenger 3 and we could change the small beaches around the lake. The water was so clear and beautiful views where everywhere. The temperature was a bit cold but my 6 years old daughter and I hadn`t had any problems to swim there. And the colour... More

Bohinj is perfect for summer getaway from the hot city. This big lake is offering refreshing dip in the water, stunning view on the mountains, easy rides on Sup boards or romantic canoeing. There's plenty of shade, but it's mostly crowded with small children. There's a bar nearby, that also serves food, but it's full most of the time. The... More

A stunning lake with tons of activities all around it. The water is much colder to swim in than Lake Bled but it is easier to find somewhere more secluded. All places you could possibly stop have scenic views. Take a kayak and find yourself a place of your own to rest up with a picnic and take a swim.... More
