Lake Bohinj is the perfect place on Earth. I have visited quite a couple of times in my life, but only yesterday I actually took the time to take a walk around it. It's incredible! The path takes about 2 and a half hours! You see plains, mountains and cute little houses that are typical for that part of Slovenia.... More

Lake Bohinj was an unexpected surprise. Beautiful view of the church from across the lake, and inside it contains some very interesting frescos. It appears there's plenty of 'outdoor' type activity to keep you occupied here. We drove here from Lake Bled and only allowed ourselves a very short amount of time here. The drive itself from Lake Bled was... More

The lake is so pretty! Make sure to bring a packed lunch if you are on a budget as there aren't cheap places to eat. There is a supermarket if you get desperate. Wish that I had stayed for two days or so. A lovely part of the world. So so so beautiful.

We went in May and it wasn't great weather so for those who wish to swim go in the summer - it's worth it. Beaches around the lake look like those on a seaside - sandy with turquoise water. Around the lake there is a walking trail, it takes approximately 2 or 3 hours to walk around it. Nearby there's... More

This is a pretty lake with nice views, you can walk around it in about 2-3 hours although the far side is quite rubbly/tree roots so not for everyone to do. The waterfalls nearby are pretty but not as impressive as I'd hoped. Overall it was nice here but Lake Bled is nicer if you have to choose one.

We came to lake Bled and have naturally decided to visit Bohinj as well as it is not to far. We spent the entire day there. The lake is very large and one cannot walk around it every day ( like you can with Bled) . Some of the walking tracks are fairy tale material - really. There is a... More

If you have a chance to vist Lake Bled in Slovenia, you should find time to drive to Lake Bohinj just 30 kilometer from Lake Bled. Not many people knew about this place because most of the tour group will end up in Lake Bled and leavingin town the next morning. Bohinj is Slovenian word mean God Place, and it... More

We stopped here on a tour and spent a couple of hours here. The lake is fantasic and very large and it was nice to stroll around. It was very tranquil and the mountainous backdrop is superb. There's a nice little church that's worth a quick visit, plus some resturants/cafes to get some food and drinks. There's also a shop... More

The nature is perfect, the locals are keeping the nature almost untouched. well organized, plenty of accommodation, restaurants and walking and biking routes.

A couple month ago I have been with chinese familiy at lake Bohinj. They said it was a lovely day for them and they had fun. Family ( Husband and wife with a child) was deligeted about my work and my adapting to them and their needs. Lake Bohinj is very nice lake, big with cold water in which we... More
