Maybe because it was kind of cloudy, not swimming weather or I have seen lots of lakes, but I thought, that is a pretty lake, but glad I didn't make a day of it. Not very touristy, which is nice. Parking isn't free (except for a church away from the center that had 1 hour parking). We drove around part... More

One of the most beautiful places I've been to. Pristine waters, surrounded by snow capped mountains (still some snow left in April). Possible to walk around the lake. Near other places of natural beauty.

Located in National park Triglav, these amazing lake is great for walks and photoshooting (views are incredible). Water is usually cold, calm and very clean, mountains are reflected in it, easy enough to find a place nearby to sit, relax and breathe. Not as crowded as Bled lake, so is a really cool place to have some sightseeing and connect... More

Stayed here for 3 days. In my opinion more beautiful than Lake Bled - larger, more peaceful, less development. We walked from one end of lake to other (via the non-road side). Great 2 hour walk. We also completed treks to a nearby waterfall and a gorge. Lots on offer in terms of exploring. Beware very expensive taxi rides in... More

You arrive at this lake if you leave Bled heading towards Slap Savica waterfall. There is various pay parking around the lake. (we couldnt find free places). Allow 3 hours to walk around. Very nice walk.

This place is magic, beautiful lake at the end of the Bohinj valley (it finishes with a dead end). This clear water might be a little bit fresh in summer, but when you swim in, you really feel rejuvenated! And then you can lie down for a while on the shore of the lake, warming up on the sun. Surrounded... More

So when you have visited Lake Bled, less than 30 minutes and you'll be at Lake Bohinj - perhaps more beautiful than Lake Bled. It's just stunning with the backdrop of the mighty mountains.
