A great modern street, where there are restaurants as well as shops. These range from the usual Western shops along the lines of H&M to those that are more authentic to Poland. Definitely at least worth a look, even if you're not looking to spend money

It is nice to walk up Nowy Swait but not a Warsaw essential. The street is scenic but lacks quality restaurants or shops to make it a great shopping street. Krakowskie Przedmiescie (which it turns into) is a much better place to walk if you've got limited time.

I love the walk down Nowy Swiat (New World), starting at one end and finishing in the Old Town. There's every kind of bar, restaurant, coffee house and shop accompanied by lots of landmarks, churches and great architecture. It's equally good in the summer sun or the winter with snow on the ground and the beautiful Christmas lights.
