This is a touristic but nice part of Warzaw. Plenty of places to take a beer or eat something local/international. Other parts of Warsaw is not so beautiful so this place is nice and well kept. I guess you should be aware of pick pockets but otherwise it feels safe. More

It's not a big area and you soon see round and run out of things to do. Hard to know how authentic it is, since the whole place was rebuilt in communist times after the Germans systematically destroyed it in 1944. More

Between this area and the outstanding Royal Route (featuring beautiful palaces and government buildings), you have enough to enjoy for at least a few days. Compared with some other cities, this is not original, however, just to see how the city was rebuilt after the war was so impressive. I also liked how I never saw any McDonald's nor Starbucks here. Felt I was transported in time. More

The Old Town is definitely worth of a couple of trips. See the mermaid, take a free walking tour, and enjoy sitting back and relaxing at one of the cafes! More
