There were two exhibits but there is a wrenching film. It is very informative and horrifying. Not for children. This is a more tightly focused, smaller museum.

The instiute isn't much in and of itself but it worth going there only to see the documentary of Jewish life in the ghetto as it was filmed during that period. For anyone interested in trying to gain a sense of what life was like for Jews during that era, this is a do not miss in my opinion. So... More

They'll play the film about life in the Warsaw Ghetto when you enter. The sound system is poor, and you can probably get as much from youtube. Other than that, there was an exhibit of paintings, a few good. Still, eminently skippable.

The Institute has a wonderful documentary explaining the happenings at the Warsaw ghetto. Not to be missed.

With the atrocities that occurred in Warsaw, I thought this would be a wonderful and moving exhibit. I was very disappointed. There is a film which tells of the ghettos, which is good and informative, but little else to see.

I came here for a history museum of the jews but what I got was a modern art exhibition and just a few artifacts. Helpful staff though.

The Museum was not due to open until 11am but they opened up for us specially at 10 as we were only able to stay until 11:30. Such pleasant & helpful staff & very interesting museum.

I am glad I went to this museum as the movie on what Warsaw Ghetto life was like filmed during the actual time was moving and made you feel like you were there. They also had other great archival material. In addition, they had an exhibit of anti-Semitic cartons that appeared in the Polish press in the period 1919 to... More

The Jewish Historical Institute has an excellent permanent exhibit about the Warsaw Ghetto. I have read and viewed this subject extensively but viewed and learned new things at this exhibit. There is also currently an exhibit about the role of Rabbis in Poland. One disappointment is that the bookstore was closed during my visit. I would have certainly purchased books... More

The exhibits focus on the Warsaw ghetto archives, which are extensive and very interesting. Most of the materials were translated into English, but not the videos unfortunately. My biggest issue was the flow of the exhibits and materials - they just present everything to you at once without really separating it into themes. Otherwise nice collection.
