We loved the beauty of the palace and the tranquillity of the surrounding gardens. how such a place survived the nhorrors of WWII is just amazing? Easily accessed by local transport.

I love Wilanow Palace and I always take everyone to see if when I'm in Poland (I'm Polish). To me, it epitomizes what a palace should look like. Even having been there many times I can still spend hours staring at the detailing in the rooms, from the ceilings to the sculptures or paintings. I haven't used the audio guide... More

Wilanów is on the road map of almost every organized excursion to Warsaw, Poland. I have however quite mixed feelings after visiting the museum. The outdoor part, i.e. gardens and park are very impressive indeed. But the indoor part is quite old fashioned. A lot of rooms is not easy accessible, the barriers at the room entrance block the access.... More

Wilanów Palace Museum is a must see place for all history fans. Apart from the museum, palace garden is a perfect place to relax after visiting Warsaw's attractions (or after work - if you live there). Several restaurants in the area won't keep you hungry.

Get some wonderful pictures here! Fans of the Austrian-Hungarian empire will love it! As we visited Paris and Vienna this was a preview of what was to come.

A short bus ride from downtown Warsaw, this palace sits on beautiful grounds- walk down to the lake- and inside has wonderfully designed and decorated rooms. It's full of beautiful paintings, furniture and interesting items from Polish history (all the way back to the 1200s!). Definitely worth going to! The self guided tour goes for about 2 hours and you'll... More

Although I only took three days in Warsaw, fortunately the public transportation in Warsaw is very cheap and convenient, therefore, I could took less than one hour from city central to Wilanów Palace. In my opinion, Wilanów Palace is the most fabulous place in Warsaw, although everyone need to U.S.$2 to enter Wilanów Palace, it is worth and the surprise... More

You'll fall in love with the outside exterior plus the beautiful Gardens and exquisite statuary. The interior is lavish architecturally and the furnishings are luxurious. Of special interest is the sun dial that is located on one of the outside walls of the palace. In the gardens is one of the nicest angel statues that we have ever had the... More

But make sure you are here by 10.00am to get one! Bus 180 or I think 116 both come here from the centre of town in about thirty minutes and the journey is itself interesting. The gardens are lovely and the palace itself has plenty of all sorts of valuable items to keep most people interested for a couple of... More
