It was quite an experience to have in a rainy day, but it lacked interaction. The items shown, the rooms, the decoration are quite impressive but the written information and the audio guide did not quite catch my full interest. Besides that, if you want an audio guide you must pay an extra fee, 17 Pln. Overall it was a... More

The Polish government has spent a fortune restoring it. Also, many paintings were hidden during the war or reclaimed from the French, Russian and German governments. Worth the trip.

Just managed to get in before they closed so there were few people with us on our hasty tour of the castle. Doors were being closed behind us as we walked through but I managed to get some pictures to remind myself of the amazing reconstruction of this castle. I didn't realise that such artisans existed in the modern era.... More

Nice tour around the castle with the audio book, without it wouldn't be as educating. Don't miss the top floor expedition that shows all Polish kings painted by W. Swierzy

Went on Sunday morning and was surprise that the ticket is free. So I advice to go on Sunday. They have free entrance ticket but the audio guide is just 17 zloty. You can take it or not but I think it's better to have an audio guide to get an insight about the Royal Castle.

Castle is situated very near to old town, Barbacan's wall and many other attraction in Warsaw. Original structure is restored however, look like the one build hundred years ago. There are many areas of castle for which there is a fee and worth to visit few of them. You can find many things happening around and no need to visit... More

We visited the Royal Castle as a family and found it a good place to learn about the Polish royal history. From outside, the appearance is a great photo opportunity, but we were actually pleasantly surprised once we ventured inside on the 'Castle Route' to discover a grand interior, depicting the regal past and displaying a number of art pieces.... its a massive resored Chateau with beautiful grounds and an encircling wall with cobbled streets and little gift shops to explore. You have to pay to enter some parts of the castle itself.
