If no one mentioned that this is a newly reconstructed castle after WW2, we can never imagine this nicely restored building which is a tell tale of Poland history is actually new. It also houses a small but great art gallery with many nice art pieces.

The Royal Castle was rebuilt only during the seventies. I don't really like castle interiors, so I visited only the art gallery- a little cute gem with 2 great Rembrants and a Little Kranach.

It is astounding to me that this palace was demolished by the Nazis and totally rebuilt by the Polish people. There are no tell take signs that this is not the original in every detail. Room after room has been meticulously recreated in all it's previous Royal glory. The experience here begins with a film orientation describing the history of... More

The Royal Castle was destroyed during World War II but has been lovingly rebuilt and restored. The interiors are particularly impressive with many elaborately decorated rooms to visit. The price was very reasonable at about £4. During Christmas time when we visited there is a fantastic Christmas Tree out the front in the castle square and the whole castle was... More

On the outside you can see the castle that even being simple is very charming. Worth entering and pay a visit to the open halls visitation. The tour lasts on average 2 hours and you can enjoy art and architecture.
