Very beautiful. The guides were exceptional in their knowledge but got a bit bored with the history as it was difficult to remember it all. Probably too much information.

All tourists visiting Warsaw will want to visit the Royal Castle - it's probably the major attraction in the Old Town. It is best to start in the free exhibition in the Castle Cellars, which explains that the Castle was completely destroyed by the German Army in the 1940s after the Warsaw Uprising. It was rebuilt in the 1970s/80s under... More

I wish that I could add more information, but prior reviews have covered much of what I would say. The Royal Castle was rebuilt almost in full with money coming from donations made by Poles at home and abroad, is beautifully done and a reminder of the old Polish State. I wish that we had opted for the audio tour.... More

It's hard to believe that this was rebuilt following the war and the level of detail taken to make sure it was the same as pre-war. It was good to see some of the original items able to be salvaged from the cadtle ruins eg clocks send candleabras.

It is almost unbelievable that this Castle was raised to the ground in the Second World War, the restoration work is amazing. There are some excellent Canaletto paintings in the castle and the ceilings are quite breath-taking.

HAving seen a multitude of castles in Europe over summer 2014, this one rates as average. Nothing too remarkable about it. There are some very nice pieces and the rooms have been restored to a high degree, but it didnt grab my attention for long.

Careful and detailed reconstruction gave this palace back to the public. Worth to visit. It looks good at the time of sunset (and also after that).

It is a real castle ! Rooms for kings and king`s guests. Full of old paintings ,even well-known J. Matejko paintings are there. Heavy doors with gold trimmings opens to huge rooms. You can walk from one room to the other and you can feel from the walls history.
