It is almost unbelievable that this Castle was raised to the ground in the Second World War, the restoration work is amazing. There are some excellent Canaletto paintings in the castle and the ceilings are quite breath-taking.

HAving seen a multitude of castles in Europe over summer 2014, this one rates as average. Nothing too remarkable about it. There are some very nice pieces and the rooms have been restored to a high degree, but it didnt grab my attention for long.

Careful and detailed reconstruction gave this palace back to the public. Worth to visit. It looks good at the time of sunset (and also after that).

It is a real castle ! Rooms for kings and king`s guests. Full of old paintings ,even well-known J. Matejko paintings are there. Heavy doors with gold trimmings opens to huge rooms. You can walk from one room to the other and you can feel from the walls history.

The austere exterior of the castle doesn't quite show the splendour of the interior and the amount of renovation work after WW2 (comparable with such famous reconstructions like Peterhof and Tsarskoe Selo near St. Petersburg). If you can dedicate 2-3 hours of your Warsaw time to this magnificent building, don't hesitate to go there. On sundays the entrance is free.... More

This palace is great - really well planned, great historical overviews, deep respect for the complexity of the stories and maintains interest throughout. It is well maintained, and was a pleasure to visit.

One of the most beautiful buildings in Europe for me! Excellent museum inside, i was stunned by the 2 exceptional paintings of Rebrandt and also from the luxerious furnitures of the Royal family. Very beautiful place to be for sure! PS: Check the café - restaurant in the old cellars of the Royal Palace!( they have the best service, the... More

Its incredible they completely rebuilt this building & replaced a lot of the artifacts but most of the rooms do not have a lot in them. The rooms are decorated magnificently with loads of guilt on the walls & ceilings & plenty of paintings but it lacks a lot of furniture & seemed empty & lifeless. Its not expensive to... More
