We took a taxi from the Hilton to the "Mamaison Hotel Le Regina" right on the edge of New Town (New Town is similar to Old Town except that it was built outside of the Old Town walls). There's a park overlooking the Wisla River with benches for a brief rest break. From there, walk back towards the hotel, turn... More

It is not so crowded as the old town market but the restaurants here are much better (but still expensive). In the summer every saturday there is a old/handmade things market!

This might be exactly opposite of Old Town Square as it's much less crowded place although for a few centuries (New Town is over 600 years old) it was one of most important spots in Warsaw (the city hall was located there until 1801) and the square was much bigger. Now, this is the place for romantic stroll or a... More

The new Town Square was by far the most pitiful place we visited in Warsaw. We were day around noon and the place was empty. And I don't mean almost empty. The place was 100% deserted! Not even the town's drunk was there, nor even the birds. It's as if everyone just vanished. Needless to say, as there was absolutely... More

There is much space on the New Town Square that has not regular but interesting shape and is in fact quite lively. The near by some churches represent different style of architecture. Besides you can enjoy different kind of gastronomy because of so many restaurants in that area. In summer months there are weekend markets with fresh food products, hot... More

The square has no character. But if you are nearby and want to have a quick glimpse it will not hurt your feet either.

Tired of all the tourists in the old town, head to New Town where the crowds are less, the restaurants nicer and better chance of getting good seat

I lived here no for 8 months (originally from Sweden) and have been to the new town square several times and I love this place on Sundays. Beautiful monetary in one of the corners of the square and on Sundays the square is packed with people sampling food and buying small items from the stalls surrounding the square itself. You... More
