Beautiful place, with both view on old town and castle on the one side and national stadium on the other. Great place to visit on weekend.
It's an amazing feat for the Poles....that they could restore this square, buildings and the palace and do it so beautifully....down to the last shingle. It's worth spending time here and reflecting on what this country has been through and how they've overcome the devastation of this city. It deserves it's UNESCO Heritage designation
Plac Zamkowy is very favourite, many people there, many street artists. There is also the statue of Zigmund and there is also the original column next to the castle. tha garden that is on many pictures you can´t see from the square, you have to look for it.
its hard to believe that these buildings aren't the originals... hats off to the poles for their amazing determination to rebuild their city. we loved poland

The Poles have done an outstanding job of rebuilding Warsaw and other cities after WWII. There is no trace of the horror that was visited upon these people. Their pride shows in their parks, castles and squares. This is just one of the magnificent places like this in Warsaw.
