It's a nice place, but it is too crowded. One day it was full of people waving polish flags, the next it was a Jesus-concert and the third it was a opera of some kind. Not my cup of tea...

we didn't go into the catle but stayed right across from it. gorgeous!!! did not see many people go in and based on other reviews we decided to just look from the outside.

I love walking down these streets, so many tourists, such a sympathetic place I will never forget the first time I've been there I'll come back soon,

There's actually nothing much to see in the square itself (other than the column), but the castle is nearby and some eateries are also there. The square is lovely in the evening (that is, until drunk local teens start pouring in).

It's hard to believe how many locals come here. Either to sit at the base of the statue or stand around the square and talk, or just passing thru on the way to the Old Town Square. If you like to people watch, this is a great place to do it.

A square in the Old City with excellent buildings. Dominated by the Rat house the square is surrounded by cafes & restaurants which with table outside. When the whether permits it can be a fantastic place to spend some hours.

Great buildings and ambiance. Watch where you step as lots of dog mess once you went outside of the old town area!

The Plac Zamkowy Castle Square) is a wonderful place to just sit. I often just sit on the wall and read a book there. It was another area rebuilt after WWII, and they did a beautiful job of it. Do not miss this if you go to Warsaw.

Beautifull square, with a lot of turist, and impressive houses. There is cheap restaurants around the area.
