Main Square at the entrance to the rebuilt old city. Large open space, clean and tidy with lots of cafes and restaurants. Rebuilt at the end of WW2 and to be fair they have done a very good job. The whole old city is definately worth a visit not just this very small part of it. Sometimes it's beyond me... More

This is a lovely square, it has great views looking towards the Barbican (old city walls) and the modern architecture of the Warsaw national stadium, Vistula river and the modern bridge crossings. There is a tower on one side of the square that gives great ariel views and lets you see the Royal Castle and square in all its glory.

I'm sorry if I offend the citizens of Warsaw but with all the rebuilding that has taken place since the end of WW11 the Castle Square and the rest of the old city just does not feel right to me. Kraków on the other hand is a completely different story. The Poles have done a wonderful restoration job after the... More

The Kings Castle can be watched from one of the many small cafees, where you can sit and sip a cup of coffee or drink a delicious polish beer. A good start for a walk around in the old part of Warsaw, or before a tour inside the castle. Remarkable is that there are no souvenir sellers spoiling the square!... More

Great meeting place at Zygmunt column , full of youthful spirit and happy folk buzzying around. One may start from here to Old Town square or visit Royal Castle or....just grab a sit at near eatery to have pierogies with a view on a castle

It's one of the most beautiful places in Warsaw with the castle, which dominates the market and column of Sigismund III Vasa. There is a tithe booths with souvenirs and local delicacies where you can buy something for yourself. Buy a chimney cake, sit on the walls around square and enjoy watching people and surroundings.

This is very charming and colorful square. It was completely destroyed in WWII and rebuilt afterwards. And because of this I appreciate it's charm and beauty even more...

Castle Square in Warsaw is a good place to hangout and spend some time. It's nicely renovated (very colorful) and integrated with some remains of medieval city walls.
