Getting picked up at your hotel in that little blue bus is quite something - it was actually more comfortable than I expected (though I imagine a very tall person may want to ask for a front seat). Our guide, Marcin, was very good at making the city's complex history come to life. Do this tour at the start of... More

Recommended by a local and could not be more pleased. From the communist inherited motor coach to the communist museum, off the beaten path tours was just that. We visited locations, monuments, moments in time and forgotten stories that Mario told and showed us with great enthusiasm and knowledge If you have the opportunity or need to make the time... More

I ended up on this tour quite by accident, without having checked the recommendations at all. However, now that I come to do a review, I see that everyone has had a wonderful time on these trips, and that doesn't surprise me at all. We had a great tour, our guide was both humorous and very well informed, and I... More

Fabulous tour - very informative and should not be missed! Mario was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable not only about the Communist history of Poland buy also about all of Poland's rich history. Also, Mario was able to put the all of the events of Poland in context with the rest of the World's history. It was... More

Loved this tour, as we saw the very "untouristy" places of Warsaw. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the city and it's history. We had lunch at a Milk Bar we never would have found on our own, and had a great, filling homemade lunch of pirogies, bliss, beets, buckwheat, and many more Polish dishes. We visited many abandoned buildings... More

We took the "Off the beaten path" tour last week and I totally recommend it. It's an alternative tour of Warsaw where for once, you will not get to see the Old Town and rynek. Instead they drive you across town and you get to see and hear stories from pre-war Warsaw to communist time Warsaw and all along the... More

I recently wound up with a half day to kill in Warsaw and a lady at the hotel recommended this trip. Since I had been there several times before, I really wanted to see another side of Warsaw - I was not disappointed. Our tour guide, Mariusz, was very passionate, humorous and personable. We learned a lot of interesting facts... More

We did an off the beaten path stops of central Warsaw seeing buildings and locations we would not have found on our oun Best part was our guide "Super Mariusz" who was full of political and infrastructure knowledge of Warsaw and a very good sense of humor.

I went on this tour earlier on today and I have to say it is not to be missed. There were 5 of us, picked up from our hostel by our guide. The truck was very authentic and our guide began filling us in on the history of Warsaw during the war before moving onto the communist era. We visited... More
