The whole museum is about how the Polish people fought back during World War II. There is a lot of information to be seen and read (which are in English). If you are going to see anything else besides understanding how the Polish people fought back and the memories of what they went through, then it may be a waste... more

The Warsaw Rising Museum is a definite “must see” if one has any interest in history at all. The story of the Rising is heartbreaking. As an American I feel only sorrow for the way first the Germans then the Russians and finally the Allies treated Poland during and after WWII. The history of Poland from 1939 to 1989 is... more

If you only visit one place in Warsaw this should be it. It is heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. The Poles through their history have been an incredibly courageous people and this brings it home. Poland has probably suffered more than any other European country but still the spirit survives and this museum shows how the character of... more

this museum tells the story of the warsaw uprising, and does so through a series of interesting and eye-catching displays, including a full-scale model of a plane that the Brits actually used to help those involved in the uprising in Poland. both children and adults will enjoy this museum, and i highly recommend it to all. more

As some other reviewers have stated this museum is very worthwhile visiting but is confusing to visit on one's own, even with the audio guide. Hiring an English speaking guide through the museum is worthwhile but difficult to do on the spur (although we did manage) of the moment. Preferably, arrange in advance by contacting the museum, via e-mail. more

A must see! This is probably the most interactive museum in Poland I've ever seen. A lot of multimedia, very interesting exhibition: from everyday life to major milestones of WW2 in Poland. The website will give you some tips and guidelines before your visit and once on site you can rent an audioguide (18languages!!!) which is a replica of radio... more

The Warsaw Uprising Museum (Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego) is probably the most important cultural attraction in Warsaw. This is a big spacious first class museum dedicated to probably the single most defining event in Polish history. It was little difficult to find the ticket booth (inside the gift shop) and the entrance (in the coat room), but once inside, all the... more

If you are in Warsaw for more than a day or 2, and have even a passing interest in WW2 history, you have to check this place out. Good for kids too. more

This is for sure one of the biggest attractions in Warsaw, and the newest one. The museum is very modern and full of multimedia. Everything is in both Polish and English. It makes you feel how it was to live in Warsaw in 1940's when the Germans ruled the city, and also how it was to fight against them in... more
