Most beautiful interior

One of many amazing old buildings of Torun. Especially interior is impressive because of its white ceiling which is rather a rarity in this kind of churches

I like this church for its mature Gothic style. I go there from time to time to make photos of some stalls, or windows, etc.

The interior of this church is amazing. The fantastic old wall paintings, the moderate white ceilings - the whole room offers peace and opportunity for reflection. Many citizens come here to pray.

The structure is magnificent - constructed in 14th century it still is overwhelming when you look at it. Walls are more than 25 metres high, red bricks also attribute to the gothic ambience. Inside it's a calm place - we were on a guided tour so had a chance to listen to some historical stories about the church. Interior may... More

The interior is very rich and well preserved. You should see it…it has really amazing stained glasses. Try not to come during ceremony so you have a chance to walk around, if they have service, then do come back later because it’s worth it. Don’t miss the altar, organ and the tombs. Must see.

You can visit quickly but for me, the church is beautiful outside, but I had the possibility to enter and it's even better. The church is so high and with a good ecclesiastic decoration.

This ancient place of worship was, despite the tour groups, an oasis of serenity. The medieval wall paintings are precious and of course there is the tomb of the royal princess. As well there are two tombs of Teutonic Knights as well as coats of arms on the floor near the altar. Don’t miss the misericord carvings which are delightful.... More

St. Mary's Church, also know as the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was erected in the second half of the 14th century by Franciscan friars. This beautiful church began as a Catholic house of worship, then it was taken over by the Lutherans, and later the Catholics assumed control of it again. Torun has a number... More
