A very impressive 14C building in the centre of a very impressive Old Town square. Equally good in the day or illuminated at night. Looks like it survived WW2 mostly intact. Spend a little time looking up at the fine brickwork and stained glass windows. How did they build these places? Houses the Torun Museum

We were surprised with the amount of well displayed things in this newly renovated museum. The displays were well done, and interesting. They have a Rembrandt that they are very proud of, but we thought the stained glass windows and the baroque items were far more impressive - and well worth seeing. The staff was friendly and attentive - and... More

the building is old, dating back centuries and built on earlier Town Halls. The museum is worth a visit but the best is the climb up to the tower, to see the view. The tower climb costs 10 zł per person and closes at 18:00 (it opens at 9 am)

The museum was split into a number of sections, Gothic art, money, torn history, children's art and a special Rembrandt exhibition. The Gothic art and torun history was very interesting, we spent most of our visit in the torn section. There are English translations on all the cabinets and there are very fine examples of glass, keys, guild boxes and... More

One part with religious articles, paintings, etc. The other part showed a variety of portraits, children´s paintings and a Rembrandt.

A bit strenuous if you're out of shape but worth it once you are up there. See Torun from the top. You can also get tickets together with museum but we didn't do that as there was not enough time.

Very large brick building located in the center of the square. You are able to walk into the courtyard and thru the building.

The Museum has a number of interesting exhibits and is well laid out but there is little linking between the sections and surprisingly little explained in any language other than Polish. The Museum warders (technically attendants, but still steeped in Communist times procedures) follow you around. Appreciate security of exhibits is important but CCTV is less obtrusive. Senior Citizens get... More
