If you are interested in cinema history and willing to make your ways to the outskirts of Lodz this will not disappoint. The museum is built into an old palace and many of the rooms remain as they were. The cinema rooms are scattered around the place with puppets and animation in the attic, film editing in the basement and... More

3 museums in 1 - confusing, dusty, not worth visiting... The only interesting part was architecture of an old adjusting villa.

If you are interested, or even remotely interested, in cinematography, then this is the museum for you. Lodz has been the centre of Polish film making and animation and entrance to see this splendid collection of film equipment, props, stage sets, etc is for nothing (well, 10 zloty actually, but well worth it). The exhibits include one of the five... More

Even if you're not a big fan of cinema history, I believe it's worth visiting and learning more about animation, movies and equipment used to make movies in the past. Don't forget to try delicious coffee there!

Overview of cinematography in general is very good, especially the technical side is very well represented. Posters of old film with an international flavour. I was slightly disappointed about the connection with Lodz Film school, famous pupils and teachers were difficult (or not) to find

The place was very nice, they have lots of old equipment and tells a lot about the cinematographic industry. The building used to be a palace and still has some of the rooms with all the beautiful wood work and paintings, which was a nice surprise. They have a section specific for old cartoons, but they didn´t make any effect... More

Lodz is a capital of Polish cinema and as such, has a lot to show to the cinema fans. This museum has a lot to show too, although it could use more space, more technology and more professional skill to present all these. Nevertheless, do not miss it. And do not miss the cartoons/animation section (my favorite).

Its a site you can not miss if you have a little time to visit the city of Lodz. It's like traveling back in time and return to the days of child
