I agree with some of what they other reviewer has said. Treblinka is second only to Auschwitz-Birkenau in the number of people that were killed. That is why we put this camp on our list to visit. Having been there, I would not recommend going out of your way to see this camp. The 17,000 stones are quite moving, but... more

We visited Treblinka in March of 2007, and it was absolutely worth visiting. Treblinka is different from most other Nazi concentration camps, because it was exclusively a "death camp." Nearly every person brought here (almost all Jewish) was killed. It is estimated that 800,000 people were murdered here by the Nazi's. There are a few small buildings when you arrive;... more
