We went on May Day and it was packed. Interesting mix of animals, mainly from Africa, including a focus on Madagascar. The zoo plans to open a new African safari soon. Lots of places to eat and drink.

Well worth a visit a wide variety of animals to see, it seems to be going through a renovation plan of some sort, but still great to see.

Such an awesome experience. We went just last week, and while not that many animals were out it was still a lot of fun to take some time out of the day and visit. I would suggest you go in the spring so you can see more though. Also, the easiest way to get here is to take Tram 10...

We don't like to use transport as you see much more by walking, from the Sofitel via Grundwalski took about 40 minutes in the sub zero temperatures (as in -15c), we arrived at the prehistoric entrance to be greeted by a fee of 25PLN for 2 which is basically £3 each, a total bargain.
We didnt get offered a guide,...

The Zoo is quite big and very nicely kept. There is a wide variety of animals (tigers and otehr big cats, hipos, bears etc), birds and reptiles. If you are in Wroclaw and you like this kind of entertainment you will definitely enjoy the Zoo.

I am not a great fan of zoos, however realise that they can be very educational and help children to enjoy their environment.
Anyway, enough moralising.... the zoo.
It had...

Well this is awesome Zoo. Amazing selection of animals from all over the world spread on superb grounds. Took us 3 hrs to go thru all animals however with all support of small cafes, restaurants and sunny weather it was good pleasure to be there. My advice is to take troley for your kids at cost of 10pln per visit...

A BRILLIANT Zoo! I have not been to a Zoo for years! We arrived...and left....by boat...GREAT! The Zoo was easy to navigate and clean and tidy! I wasn't happy about the "bored" Bears walking up and down or the Elephants looking "sad"....but, this is in Poland and that's still acceptable there. Over all it was a VERY well stocked Zoo....if...

Spent a full day here,it really is a marvellous zoo, spread over a large area, but easy enough to navigate. Huge vivarium is one of the highlights with a vast collection of turtles and tortoises. The pygmy hippo, the brown bears and the lemurs all stick in my mind.
Plenty of benches to rest on and food & drink outlets for a...
