At the bottom there are lots of stalls that didn't interest me but might interest you, then we went up on the funicular (19 zloty return each). There's a great view of the mountains and a mini toboggan ride that's actually quite fast and fun and then you get pulled up again. (That was 7 zloty each) There are a... More

Ok so it was only good not very good because everything was shut. It was the last week of the season I think and it was a bit of a ghost town but the views are gorgeous and for a few pound you get to see it!

if there is good visibility you can see all Tatra Mountains from East to West from the top of Gubalowka. You can also take a walk , visit plenty of stalls offering traditional food, expecially cheeses "oscypki" , decorative items out of wood ,knitted sweaters and socks .The only problem is too much tourists around all the day long. It... More

Great views, amazing food and low prices! definitely worth going while being in Zakopane. it only takes about 30 mins to get there from the city centre.

Go there to see the sunset (at least one or two hours in advance). You can just sit there and watch the beautiful Tatra mountains. If you are travelling in low season there might be problems to find a nice place to eat up there.

It was my first day in Zakopane and I decided a short stroll here would be nice. You ascend just to the left of the building where you would buy tickets if you were going to ride. I turned left at the top and walked along to Palkowka and then diagonally down to the road on the blue route. I... More

It is a lovely area to explore. It caters to tourists. Very scenic view of the mountains but one has to walk to appreciate the scenery.

We took the tram up at sunset. It was pretty to see the Tatra Mountains with the sunset colors. We ended up going back the next day to hike up about halfway and sit and look at the mountains.

Having visited Kasprowy Wierch during the day we decided to visit Gubałówka in the evening to experience the views at night. Ascending not long before closing time, it seemed that we were the only ones up there as, unsurprisingly, all the restaurants and stalls were closed or closing. We did find one late opening pub that had some amazing, yet... More
