nice visit

Although it is quite touristy, we enjoyed walking up and down Krupowki street. At our time of visit it was not to crowded and it is just a 15 minutes walk from Zakopane busstation.

A long walk-way of a road, filled with shops, cafes, restaurants and great atmosphere. Many of the buildings are wooden (Alpine style), or built in traditional style, which give the street a very particular feel. Be sure to look at the nooks and crannies, you never know what curio you might find.

Just as any other major city, Zakopane also has a lovely shopping/restaurant street for tourists. It's clean and lovely, you can buy oscypek (sheep milk cheese) and homemade ice cream along the way. Tons of souvenir shops. But if you happen to be there on Boze Cialo in June (a Catholic holiday that is strictly observed) then save your time... More

There are many better pedestrian streets that are more interesting and atmospheric than this. This is out and out touristic. Except for a couple of traditional wooden houses at the upper end of the street, there is not much to admire. On the weekend, it was crowded, with nauseatic stink emanating from dead animals being cooked on open fires. Just... More

Main street in Zakopane, lots of bars, cafes, ice creams and sheep milk cheese booths along the road. Also, shopping boutiques as well as cheap local stuff shops, nice walking.

This is a truly a heart of Zakopane, ski resort town. You can shop, dine or simply go for a walk. Vibrant, well looked after area of the town keeps expanding with new shops and new entertainment opportunities. You will not get bored here.

The main street in Zakopane. At the end is the main market which is huge and has plenty of bargains. Krupowki Street is great for restaurants and bars and is full of life at all times of the day and night
