Zakopane is not that big of a town and when you arrive you will quickly find that Krupowki Street is the main, mainly pedestrianized, thoroughfare that offers you plenty of retail outlets, bars and restaurants. We stayed at the Hotel Sabala on Krupowki Street and really enjoyed our visit. The street is alive during the day and there are plenty... More

Noisy, hyper expensive, full of drunks & people intelligent and kind , the other way ;) One of the most awful places I ever been, avoid if you can ... Full of places to eat , yet only 3 worth recommending : Casa Mia, Nasza Kasza and Tradycja Gòralska. A lot of shops, yet, full of Chinese crap .... And... More

Lots of souvenir shops, mall-type stores and tons of restaurants--all combined make this a fun street to stroll along. Take it to the end and you'll hit a big market selling local cheese, fur coats and other Zakopane specialities. Then take the funicular up to Gubałowka to get a beautiful view of the Tatras and countryside.

The high street of Zakopane is packed with a mixture of traditional stalls and eateries and modern international brands. It's a great place to spend a few hours walking along this street hunting for souvenirs and relishing in the bustling entertainment whilst enjoying a view of the mountains in the distance.

Had read reviews so knew what to expect. We ended up on Krupowki each night of our stay in Zakopane because it had a lot of restaurants and most importantly a McDonalds which is all our son was willing to eat! I did find it overcrowded and totally made for tourists and being a tourist visiting there from USA, I... More

A lot of the wares peddled on Krupowki are not necessarily Polish, in manufacture, but they are cute and fun souveniers. Do NOT expect to haggle. Even if you're buying 100+ dollars worth of items, they will not discount you except every occasionally. There are lots of lovely jewelry stores along the main drag and they worth exploring. Some are... More

There are gems here but you have to look. Lots of local cheese but quality varies from one stall to another. If you wish Polish souvenirs made in China, this is the place. However, there are lots of local artisans as well. We purchased a beautiful hand-made doily for less than half of what it would have cost in Market... More

Pedestrian mall type and is quite long At one end near tram you have lots of stalls with quite a few leather shops and quite a few places selling sheep cheese. I can now smell them a mile away. In the middle and other end are lots of restaurants. Very safe area.
