Well, imagine a narrow street surrounded by typical European Chalets, with the smell of barbacue sometimes, snowing, cold enough to make you get closer to your mate. This is Zakopane´s Krupowki Street. All around you may found from local handcraft works to trendy, fashion clothes. It is a beautiful and unforgettable place me and my family will return on next... What kind of local government idiot would let this once charming heart of Zakopane be completely overrun by chintz and crap? Drunks dressed as Disney characters harass passersby mugging for photos as they seek to fleece you.. Garish fast food joints stand cheek to jowl with tourist traps selling Chinese geegaws..It's a crime and a shame but oh so Polish...... More

Lovely little street in Zakopane, full of a variety of restaurants from traditional Polish, to Pizza, to Italian to Steaks. Lots of shops stocking good brands like North Face, Jack Wolfskin etc for skiing and hiking, for prices much lower than what you would pay in Ireland. We visited Casa Mia on this street twice for really amazing food!

Went on a day trip to Zakopane. We were advised to visit Krupowki Street + the market at the bottom. There is a large car park right down at the bottom next to the river. The market here is really cheap for leather goods etc.... Be aware and keep your money/valuables secure here. Krupowki Street itself is a lovely place,... More

Grand for a little jaunt but if you are eating make sure to do your research as many of the places on this street are just tourist traps. They also need to get rid of the Go Go girls punting for business on this street is is very seedy.

You can't miss Krupowki Street as all roads in Zakopane seem to lead to it from one direction or another. It has its plusses; on a snowy night it looks almost magical and due to the sheer number of places to eat or have a snack at there is bound to be at least one place that suits your palate... More
