I never thought coal mining would make for an interesting attraction. Boy was I wrong! You actually go 320 metres down into an actual coal mine and see the machinery, coal and ride on a miners underground tram. It's quite fascinating, not to mention educational. This is as real as it gets! Definitely a must if you are in Silesia...

The only coal minig museum underground in Poland and probably in Europe,not only its atmosphere gives a chance to feel like in the XIXth century, but also you can see mechines and technologies, which are now used in real coal mines. This is the mining museum combining the oldest woring steam power mining machine (you may see it in motion) and underground trip with guide including explanation of mining history and techniques in region, riding the underground train and seeing the machinery in action (you may even steer some of the pieces!!!!). It is really experience not to be missed!
