This museum is misleadingly named. There is very little about Oscar Schindler but it is a fantastic history of Krakow in World War II. It is a walk through museum with many films, posters and photographs. You really feel what Krakow must have been like before 1939 and feel the menace of the Nazi occupation. Unless you are on a... Today there is no factory but in some portion The Historical Museum of Kraków has been established. It seems that in the rest of factory space, new buildings housing Museum of Contemporary Art have been built. It depicts Kraków in pre war and during war periods with lot of photographs and some artefacts. There is also mention of Schindler's factory.... More

Beautifully assembled walk through history of WWII organized through the perspective of individuals living in Kraków and the story of Schindler's factory as context for the real human traumas. The museum is a full sensory experience - sites, sounds, and context that will engage small children and academics alike. Add a walk through Podgorze neighborhood.

This is well engineered account of life in Krakow under the Nazis. A memorial to times that should never be repeated. Schindler's courage is well documented. The shocking impact on the Polish people has always been overshadowed by the atrocties against the Jews.It was informative to learn about the bigger picture.

This is a great museum to WW2 - there is very little about Schindler himself but I researched before visiting so I wasn't surprised by this. Well presented and interesting exhibits with lots to read and look at.

Within the walls of the Schindler Factory across the river from the old town of Krakow we were pleased we had found this haunting testimonial of the darkest days of the Third Reich. With so much photographic material and footage of a dark era we were able to piece together a blot on Man. To avoid seeing this is no... More

Walked about 40 minutes from the centre of the city to the factory. We spent just under 2 hours here. There is so much information about Krakow in chronological order from 1939 to 1945. There's so much pictures, infomation boards, quotes, maps, videos and artefacts. We just wished there was more about Schindler and the people he saved. There is... More

This is our second visit here, first was 8yrs ago before refurbishment. What a fantastic museum but PLEASE ban cameras, iPads and selfie sticks indoors!!! Place was filled with rude people not reading or looking at any info/displays just speed walking, shoving, prodding and pushing cameras in everybody's way. Was near impossible to read displays or take in any info... More
