I have been to zoos in New York, Miami, Berlin, Vienna, London, Chicago, Helsinki and Budapest, and I have to say this is the worst. The surroundings are very beautiful as it is located in a forest but the zoo itself is very small and some of the cages are way too small for the animals. Big cats were nervously... More

Our little ones are crazy about animals, so we plan a visit to Krakow Zoo. We are not disappointed. The collection of the animals are good, and surprisingly some of them look very happy and active. The main attractions for our little ones is the mini zoo, where they can pet, and carry small animals. The only complain that we... More

I grow up going to this zoo...and the progress is HUGE:) I moved out of Poland in 2005 and came back for vacation in 2014 with my 4 year old daughter. Its her favorite zoo ever lol and we from Florida where zoos are huge and great but this one is different. Its located in the middle of forest on... More

Not the biggest zoo, but is a good way to spend an hour or so when visiting Krakow. Very easy to get to on the 134 bus near Cracovia Stadium - journey time is around 15 minutes.

The zoo isn't big and there aren't many animals (in comparision to Berlin Zoo) but we had really good time and rest. We were with friends but I guess it's good place to take your girl for a date - just nice walk, see some animals - just to start

This is a very good zoo and we visit every time we go to Krakow. Yes the animal descriptions are in Polish but underneath the Polish name of the species you do get an English translation such as Chapman's Zebra. Our local zoo does not have signs in every language, it just wouldn't be affordable and there would not be... More

We had been here some years ago and were interested to see changes we had read about in the local "In Your Pocket" magazine. So we went again on 8 May. Easy to reach on bus 134 which starts at Cracovia and ends 20 minutes later at the Zoo. Buses are twice an hour on weekdays and 4 times an... More

Large zoo situated in the centre of the Wolski Forest containing all the animals you would expect to see. However all the descriptions were in Polish, as you would expect I suppose, but no other languages were catered for. Some of the animals, in particular the monkeys and large cats did look bored, and it was sad to see some... More
