We took our 2 year old son to this zoo last month. It's in the middle of a forest and took us 20 mins taxi drive from the city. The zoo is relatively small but has a lot of animals including girrafes, elephants, lions, tigers, moneys, birds etc. We were surprised by the amount of animals given the scale of... More

And besides that they have elephants ;) and lemurs and loads and loads of other well fed and taken care of animals. The kids will love it but visit it when it is warmer, not during winter ;)

It was foggy, It was freezing but we decided to take a trip to the Zoo seeing as we were in Poland! We drove down to the entrance of the Zoo (Please don't listen to people who say you need to park and walk 20+ minutes??? Unless thats during the summer? Because we drove straight to the entrance). Please make... More

This ZOO was built within Wolski forest: have many species from all part of World and the animals are in good health, with many cages that have very big size. It's little stupid go to Krakow without watch the ZOO. I was there for much hours, like 4-5, because is really interesting watch beautiful species. It's far from city and... More

The zoo is not as big as one will find in most major cities but it is a nice oasis to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The animals appear to be living in cramped quarters but, perhaps, I am more used to American zoos, which tend to be larger. You will find many families here,... More

This is a good zoo, with a good range of animals, however the cages for some of the primates and big cats are very small and some of the animals are displaying stereotypical behaviour hence the 3 stars. The location is excellent although off the beaten track and on a cold winters day the zoo was very quiet heightening the... More

It is very calming to walk along, summer, winter or fall at this zoo. Many species of animals, from peacocks to monkeys..a full range. You can walk at your own pace, food is available on the outside of the gate.

Small heritage zoo on eastern outskirts of Kraków, situated in large wood. It's interesting not only for the exotic animals, but also for it's architecture, dating mainly from first half of 20-tieth century. Getting there is a bit of a struggle, especially on weekends (weekdays - you can drive right up to the gate and leave your car at the... More

I did not actually go in to the zoo to see the animals so I can't comment on that part but what I do want to comment on is the architecture. The zoo is near Hero's Square and is in an area containing a large number of Art Nouveau, Sessionist and Art Deco buildings. The zoo itself - the main... More

This isn't a very big zoo but what they do they do well. Even in winter time there were enough animals to look and interact with to spend a good 2 hours here. The enclosures look well kept and in good repair. The animals seemed well feed and happy - many of them interacted with the public The public transport... More
