- KarolinaPoznan, Poland3 contributionsGreat placeGreat bar, loved the interior, very stylish. The service was very kind. Really great place to grab a drink late in the evening, food was also good, fresh, hot when we received it. Really enjoyed it there :)Visited December 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten March 27, 2023
- Bertie1224Northamptonshire, United Kingdom527 contributionsQuirky barInteresting interior that does not suggest much from outside. Little bar that can have a reasonable queue if busy, but the quirkiness means it is worth it to get a drink, sit in a lovely space and chat with friends. An excellent pre dinner stop off. Reasonable selection of drinks. Good price. Staff were polite and quick. Would happily return.Visited April 2023Traveled with friendsWritten April 15, 2023
- Janvanj7163 contributionsGreat bar!!Good in the daytime but this place comes alive at night. Dark dingy and atmospheric. Lit only by candies. Sit outside and watch the world go by or sit inside and soak up the atmosphere. Took a wrong turn and went into the cellar where a 5 piece jazz band were on. Lots of different acts perform downstairs or DJ’s doing sets. Drinks priced ok and bar staff really helpful.Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 12, 2023
- carolewelltravelledNorthampton, United Kingdom480 contributionsBusy & Buzzy!!Just stopped for a drink. Sat outside on the street, it was busy and had a great atmosphere! Service was quick and friendly. A bottle of beer and a daiquiri were very much enjoyed. On closer inspection, through the bar, there is a garden to sit in, also busy, also buzzy! Definitely one to visit. We didn't eat but the food looked good!!Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 17, 2023
- ColinLondon, United Kingdom6 contributionsBrilliant breakfast of faultless and filling FlorentineBrilliant breakfast. I walked past this place last night and the breakfast menu appealed as did the location. This morning, as I wanted breakfast near the Old Synagogue, I headed here and ordered the eggs Florentine and a cappuccino. Sitting outside in the morning sun whilst the market square was just starting to wake up would have been a great way to start any day. Add one of the most delicious Eggs Florentine I’ve ever had the delight to eat anywhere and the day gets off to a rip roaring start. Service was charming, food was delicious, coffee was great. It would have been a bargain at twice the price quite frankly. I’m intending to head back here later this week for their delicious sounding sweet pancakes with rhubarb and other things I can’t quite recall right now but I’m looking forward to eating!Visited September 2023Traveled soloWritten September 4, 2023
- malcjonesFalmouth, United Kingdom185 contributionsQuirky little bar/restaurant in the Jewish quarter defo worth a visit!Situated right in the heart of the Jewish quarter we visited while in the area. Overlooking the plac nowy square we only stayed for a drink but inside the food in the restaurant looked good and it was busy! The bar itself is very quirky. Defo worth a look.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 10, 2023

- Pub Monster NeilLiverpool, United Kingdom672 contributionsOne of my favourite pubs in KrakowWithout a shadow of a doubt one of my favourite pubs in Krakow is Alchemia ,a pub I always enjoy visiting on any holiday I take to this fascinating city. Located in the heart of the Jewish Quarter ( Kazimierz ) ,walking in and you know you're in a special pub, multi roomed ,candle lit ,a cool looking serving bar, exposed brickwork, peeling paint ,all manner of interesting bric a brac adorning the walls, an eye catching serving bar and there's lots of seating options spread throughout this pub which it needs as this pub is popular with not just tourists such as me but with locals, its a pub I've been visiting for many years ,its hardly changed at all ,it's just a great pub. My twin brother and I were here on a freezing cold February night but the pub was toasty warm and very busy but we grabbed a table were I then went up the serving bar ( self service here ) queued up for a few minutes and after a quick study of their beer range I got us Tyskie Brewery Ksiazece ipa ,these were served in excellent condition, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our beers. My ipa was really good, golden, hoppy, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a slight bitter finish to it we both enjoy, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world, its hardly surprising that this pub is so popular with beers served in this good a condition. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Alchemia we had a great time. Alchemia is easy to locate along Ulica Estery just off the famous Plac Nowy, a street, square and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants and some very cool architecture and a major tourist destination. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 9am till 2am. Friday & Saturday, 9am till 3am. Sunday, 9am till 2am. Well worth checking out if you're in the Jewish Quarter of Krakow.Visited February 2024Traveled with friendsWritten February 19, 2024

Like a lot of places in Krakow, the bar is quite dark. Also, service is without a smile. I only popped in for a beer one evening and had to queue while one guy was serving. The bar was packed so I was waiting for around 10 minutes while people in front of me ordered beers, coffees, herbal tea and cocktails. Perhaps I was just unlucky as another member of staff appeared just as I got to the front of the queue. I only had the one drink and as I left there was no one waiting, but there are better bars in the area in my opinion

This place is mostly known as a bar / underground club but make no mistake, here you can get one of the best Eggs Benedict in Kraków.
It’s located in front of the bazar in the Kazimierz district and although the interior resembles an old, slightly tired living room, the breakfast offering is authentic, rustic, prepared to perfection.
Forget about your hotel breakfast and treat yourself to a local experience.

Very characterful place with good beer, nice atmosphere and suitable music. I appriciate that aside of polish beer they also have czech beer on draft. Inside room are oldfashioned and beautiful. Highly recommend to visit.

I have visited Krakow many times over the years, and for years I keep missing out on a visit to Alchemia which is a excellent dive bar nestled in Kazimierz just off the market square.
Me and my wife were going to meet up with some friends, and we had a few moments to kill, so thought we would pop in to Alchemia for a beer.
We had been in during the way, but just did not feel right during the day, but late at night is when it really shines.
Dark Gothic-like feel to this place, with hardly any light except candles on the tables, its a place that you will find yourself growing to like.
Wish we had visited more than once, but will be back next time.

Great bar in the square on the outskirts of the main city. We preferred the nightlife in and around this area to get away from the main tourist section. This bar is reasonably priced and has good selection of beers and cocktails on offer. The atmosphere is pretty cool and the staff are friendly.

What a fantastic bar. Friendly staff.
Lovely chilled ambience.
It is very dark with candle light which adds to the ambience.
Drinks are cheap even for high end liquor.
This is my favourite bar in Krakow

Great find. Music a bit banging for a gent of a certain vintage, but very stylish at night. All candles and dark walls and floors. Smoking room is very, er.....smoky. Amounts to I’d say 40% of place.
