I vist this church several times at least every time I am in Krakow, as I love the syle and colours of the windows created by Wyspianski, especially the huge window over the main entrance that shows God creating the world. it has animals in it, also evoking Saint Francis. It is a beautiful historic place, where one can say... More

Can only agree with others that this is well worth a visit inside for its stunning, modern, stained glass windows, and the unusual patterned walls.

Enjoyed looking round this church and it's colourful decoration. Interesting to see where the Pope sat. Beautiful window over the doors. Very plain on the outside.

Great stained glass windows and artwork - and it's free to visit. Just offer up a donation at the end, which is worth the time you spend here. Delightful

The very modern and dynamic stain glass is about 150 years old! it is worth contemplation. The other unusual effect is that the church walls and pillars are painted in an intricate checkerwork pattern. Outside is one of the small bronze models of the building at its greatest extent [this is a novel feature found at most of Krakow's important... More

The Franciscan Church is a brick building dating back many centuries. If you're in the Main Square, walk down Bracka at the one end of Silk Hall towards Franciszkanska Street, the church will be right across the street. The unusual feature of this church is the bright, abstract stained glass window by Stanislaw Wyspianski.

As you exit, be sure to look up at the window over the entrance. It is a depiction of God by Stanislas Wyspianki, a brilliant man in many endeavors. It is very modern for his era.
