This makes a pleasant change from the standard tourist list of attractions. We found it thanks to some Tripadviser reviews and the all important 'map'. It was a little tricky and involved a bit of a walk around the periphery to get to the entrance although we left wiser and got back to our accomodation within 20 mins (Starowislna St).... More

The only down side to the gardens is finding it in the first place. Best check web site for opening hours. Located at the end of Kopernika no 27, opening in wall to your right just before you can see the glasshouses. No signs to say it's the entrance. If you get to the big main road you have walked... Botanical Garden of the Jagiellonian University is a really old place, you can feel that everywhere. For me this is a plus, for other it may be a minus. There are no descriptions, only names (in Polish and Latin). We visited Garden in the opening day of season 2014, in the middle of April. Everything was blossoming, colorful flowers and... More

This is a very good place to relax and walk in if you don't have the time or the means to get out of Krakow. The variety of flora is impressive and the flowers were resplendent in all their glorious colors during the late Summer. For a while, I completely forgot I was in the middle of a major city.... More

Even though it was early October there was still a lot to see in the garden. Everything was labelled well and there was an extensive selection of plants to view. It was a lovely way to depend an hour on a warm, sunny Autumn afternoon away from the busy main square. We also saw two sets of newly weds having... More

Being gardeners this was high on our list to visit. It was perhaps not a great time of year to visit or the garden is being redeveloped. It was a bit run down/the museum was closing when we arrived although the glasshouse was pretty good. Would not go back.

On a very hot Friday we walked to the gardens. They are not well signposted - a makeshift sign on the right was all there was. The gardens are split into distinct areas i.e. arboretum, medicinal, collections. The ice-cream vendor at the far end was very welcome. Regrettably the glasshouses are not open on Fridays. Gardens are very well maintained... More

It would definitely be worth your time trying to find this little gem in Krakow, it is only a short distance from the centre but is not too crowded with tourist so you can relax and check out the amazing glasshouses

We walked from the Stare Miasto, beautiful walk, not far. This place takes you by surprise, it is unpretentious, but after you enter you will be amazed at the beauty and tranquility here. I am so happy we came.😊😊😊😊😊

If you have some free time and you are tired just go there and relax. The garden is most beautiful in spring time, when magnolia trees are full of flowers. There is pond, big green house with tropical flowers and trees. Students are coming there to study books in calm atmosphere.
