This is a perfect spot for 2-3h tranquil walk. The garden is very diverse and features a lot of interesting plants and trees. It provides a good shade from the summer sun. Note that the opening hours of the greenhouses may change if it's too hot outside - better check before you arrive. Not Krakow's highlight, but once you get... More

I found shelter in this place after visiting and escaping from an overcrowded Wavel in a 15 august hot noon. You can figure out how much I appreciated the peace of this place, to sit down on benches at the shadow of huge trees, contemplating ponds or roses... Lots of sections and species, I especially found interesting the trees (oaks,... More

These beautiful gardens are within walking distance of the city centre, however the entrance is well hidden. Once, located the gardens are beautifully kept and the glasshouses hold some amazing plants. Well worth a visit. Small entrance fee.

KRAKOW city life falls behind you when you step off the road and into what is Poland’s oldest existing botanical garden. Founded in 1783, it was then only a quarter of its current size of 9.6 hectares, almost all the expansion being carried out in the first half of the 20th century. In all there are 6,000 species here from... More

Love this place been several times, always seem to go on the day the museum is closed. Now I know it is only open on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, I must have gone on the other 4 days in the past. Lovely gardens with a small lake. Some really good photos opportunities. Nice on a hot sunny day to sit... More

The Krakow botanical garden is very nice. It's well kept and has a wide selection of sooooo many species from the vegetable kingdom. You feel good while visiting! This garden comes second after the botanical garden in Wroclaw - still a very honorable performance!

Lovely Gardens I believe these gardens have been revamped during the last 12 months and they are definitely worth visiting. They are about 15 mins walk from the centre of Krakow. It cost us 13 Zloty for two people, peanuts. There are two big glass houses, various lilly ponds, and a great deal of flower beds. It is quite a... More

It is easy to get to the Botanical gardens in Krakow (no 2 tram to Lubisc St. then walk) and it is cheap to get in. It is quite wonderful there. The gardens are laid out so that they never seem crowded and the visitors respect and love the place so it is peaceful. The gardens are right near a... More

Large botanic gardens about a 20 minute walk from the city centre containing numerous spring flowering plants, colourful rock plants, lakes and ponds, and a couple of well stocked greenhouses. I’m sure the gardens will be even more spectacular in the summer. Visitors are given a map on entering, which enables to better plan how to get around the gardens.... More
