The market square represents seven centuries of spectacular architecture. St Mary's Basilica is a must see, a beautiful treasure. Also the bugler every hour is an added attraction. Wonderful atmosphere in the square and let's not forget the great beer and excellent food at bars and restaurants around the square. We loved the food market behind St Mary's for some... More

The main square is lovely. The buildings are beautiful and there are lots of restaurants, cafes and shops around the main square, it's very European. The ice cream is amazing. We went on a horse and carriage ride which was lovely and it gave us a chance to see other parts of the old town where good shops were that... More

We spent many hours in the Market Square during our 7 day vacation in Kraków. We ate several meals in the outdoor cafes and also in the restuarants just off the Square. Every meal was delicious and very inexpensive. We spent most evenings in the Square having a drink and enjoying the music that is played everywhere in the square.... More

Huge square, largest in Europe I believe. Here you can visit the Cloth Hall, which is a market for tourist souvenirs and St Mary's Basilica. The Square is surrounded by restaurants and bars where it's lovely to sit and watch the world go by and the horse carriages passing by. The streets coming off the Square take you to other... More

Lots to see and do, or just relax with a coffee and people watch, it's your choice. Beautiful churches, fabulous underground Museum under the square and interesting shops in the side streets.

This square is massive and in the middle there is the Cloth Hall which divides the square in two, at the top end of the square is Saint Mary's Basilica, look out for the bugler and give him a wave if you see him. There is plenty of eateries round the square but some are overpriced for what you get.... More

The market square is surrounded by restaurants and bars so no hunger or thirst problems! In the middle is the old textile market now a tourist souvenir wonder - but still not overly expensive unless you are buying Amber. When I visited they had a music festival on son for about 8 hours non-stop bands but not too noisy. Lots... More
