I have enjoyed the walk around the market square. The architectural buildings around are fascinating. The small food stalls, gift shops and souvenir store and eateries are charming. One could not resist to end up buying little things to take back home.

The Main Market Square in Krakow unlike most European squares has a medieval age feel to it. The horse drawn carriages with the women dressed in clothes from that era add to the charm. The square hosts a huge market over the weekend with traditional Polish food which is a must try (there are free food tours which are good)... More

A hub of activity on weekends. On one particular day whilst sat in the obviously touristy bars in the main market square there was a Queen tribute concert. But the square is large enough to have the modern activities not jar with the beautiful historic monuments and fantastic history and culture from museums to churches around the square.

Huge, surrounded by cafes, and bustling, but minus the hordes and hordes of tour groups you get elsewhere. There was a festival when we visited with delicious food stalls and live music.

Something going on all the time in the square, music, markets, food, food and more food. Beautiful horses and carriages to take you around the city, well worth it and most enjoyable. Every type of food selection possible, expect to add a few pounds on!!!!! Medical personal just incase which was very good to see.

OK , so the square is full of tourists, but it was magic just sitting there, eating apple cake and drinking coffee and watching the world go by. Take a carriage ride, view the market stalls, be a people watcher. Quite fabulous!

A great square to sit and watch the world go by or have a coffee and relax. We visited in winter so not much sitting outside! Lovely Christmas market though and still quite a good buzz about even though there weren't too many people. Will definitely look at returning.

Although I was on my own I just loved walking around this square. There is so much happening in there all the time and in the evening it is just such a romantic setting. Do yourself a favour and put aside some time to explore this both in the day and the evening.

The main market square was packed with vendors selling all sorts of things including hot food which was good. We bought some hammers and two renches as novelty items to bring home as they were made out of chocolate and the grandchildren will love them.
