I love visiting churches around the world and seeing how the not only architecture differs, but how the interior is decorated. No expense was wasted on this gem! Come inside and see the impressive altar. Nightly concerts held regularly as well. Splendid.

Go inside this stunning beauty. Altar is incredible. The tradition continues hourly of the trumpeter playing his piece and getting interrupted (although thankfully he isn't murdered each hour). He'll wave at the top of each hour. 24/7.

We've been to a massive number of churches in mnay countries and for us this was the best yet. If you can possibly come to Poland, it's worth it simply because of the opportunity of visiting St. Mary's. Make sure you buy your tourist entrance ticket at the kiosk on the alley next to the chuch at 11:15 for the... More

Stunning interior with the alterpiece being absolutely incredible. As a tourist you have 2 options, pay a cheap fare to enter the tourist side where you can go right up to the altar area and take pictures (even though you are not allowed, everyone was going it and noone was stopping them). Or, you can enter from the local or... More

The art and architecture in this church will amaze you. The folding altar in itself is stunning. The bugler plays on the hour and the tune abruptly stops, in accordance with legend. Worth visiting and paying the little bit extra to take photos.

Gorgeous and absolutely worth the visit. The opening of the altar (stolen by the Nazis and later recovered), done every (or most, I'm not sure) by a nun and in Polish, is a must see: when closed, it depicts Mary's sorrows; when opened, her joys, in gold-coverd bas-relief. Absolutely stunning and totally worth the entrance fee.
