The museum is on the small side, but they're currently in the process of expanding. There was a lot to see and great explanations about everything. Some of the interactive displays were a bit dull, but there's plenty to read and look at. I'm not sure how interested younger kids would be, but our visit was just 2 adults and... More

Loved this museum, tracing the history of the city from the year dot. Most interesting well worth the few coins admission,

This museum is amazing, as it extends under the square in several directions. It shows how the city developed over the centuries. There are also countless displays on the history of Poland- check out the short movies on different periods in the history of the country, We stayed here for over 2 hours, it was a good break from outside... Having read about the museum and the fact that it was relatively new and under cloth hall I was looking forward to visiting. The order of how you navigate the exhibits is not clearly shows even though there is a map, there are a lot of multi media screens which does mean waiting for the information in the language you... I cannot agree more with the previous reviewer who found this museum incredibly boring. There was very little to see here - a case of style over substance. The interactive information screens were slow, and I saw a lot of people give up on them completely. A lot of the information they contained was very basic and common sense -... More

We hoped this would be fun and informative. To be honest we got a bit bored and found it hard to understand. All the descriptions were provided in several languages but we found the english hard to follow. It was close but not there, a shame as with that setting I would have expected almost anything to work. Not really... More

Nice idea but just found the layout and design disappointing. It's quite dark and hard to read some of the information because of the lighting, size of the writing and height of the information boards (knee height). There are some interactive screens for information but only one at each display, we gave up waiting for some of them and others... More

The Rynek Underground is an excavation of the many layers of the city that have existed in the past. While it was interesting, it was not the highlight of our visit to Krakow.

Taking you through the history of the square this museum has some great archaeological finds and is presented in a really modern and engaging way. Definitely worth a visit
