This was history experience, but we did not really enjoy it, because our headsets did not work. You see lots of foundations of buildings and learn about the Mongol invasion, but perhaps if we grew up in the area it would be more interesting. It was very well organized.

The entrance to this in the corner of the Cloth Hall building, we were not sure where it was at first. We did a self guided tour and the history of Krakow as well as many old medieval cities is very eye opening. The details of the excavation and preservation of the history is really good. the displays and artifacts... More

Poorly laid out; not logical or sequential. Some info in multiple, others in polish and English and others Polish only. Interactive monitors had up to 15 screens of text to scroll through - WAY too much info to scroll through.

You do not have to book online, you can just walk in. Fabulous concept, interesting and informative. Technology involved in building the museum is mindblowing. Worth a visit for all ages.

This museum is pretty cool. The town square was excavated between about 2005-2010 and the museum has been built underneath the square exhibiting what was found. You enter through a door on the St Mary's Basilica side of the cloth hall. We paid 19PLN which I think included a guided tour... But we didn't bother with the tour as the... More

What an incredible museum! If our friends from Krakow hadn't told us about this museum we would have passed it up. The entry is through the Market square building. In 2005, they began excavating the land for the museum and 10 years later, it is used widely by school children. Such a treasure! You can actually see where the old... More

Geological strata, literally, and explication of the economic ENGINE that was Krakow. Trade deals in Copper, Salt, with dabbling and privelege. In-crowd, and the schlepper! Visual clarifications, from fish-hooks, as representatives of prime protein-input of the 12C Krakovians, to the unionisation of skilled crafts, and their techniques, through the Guild System. Unique, in Europe. Profoundly skilled in scratch-my-back-and-I'll-scratch-your's, with other... More

Very nice museum with interesting and some very beautifull artefacts from Krakows past times. Right onder the main square. Do not forget to get tickets before visiting, as visitors capacity is limited.

You'll have to ask someone how to find the entrance to this museum, but be sure that you do. Underneath the Sukiennice, you can walk through an actual archaeological dig, begun in 2005, and see what the main rynek in Krakow looked like centuries ago. All the signage is done via touchscreen monitors, which means that there is a great... More

I liked the visit - very impressive what they managed to do down there. It took a while to understand what it is about though. Most of the content is translated to English - still very scientific though and they hopefully plan to let a native speaker correct it.
