Musty smell when first entering. There are various stations depicting history of Krakow. Many had computerized screens with various languages which slowed down viewing while waiting to be freed up. I only had an hour and a half free time so this was a concern of mine. Artifacts found during excavations were interesting.

The story is great, bit initially the museum shows little of the underground city; later, this gets better but still a bit too much window dressing rather than purelu showing the old architecture. Yet, certainly worth the visit

it's nice and not too expensive and it must have taken a long time to built this. Therefore it's unique to see what live was up to hundreds of year ago. It's ok for a vist for an hour or so, but not that interesting as you might think as mentioned in the tourist guide. But it was ok and... More

To start we had to book tickets. The guide in the shop was the first unhelpful person we met in Kraków. She didn't even explain where the entrance was, luckily we had friends with us who were able to direct us. The museum entrance is located on the outside of the cloth market. I had assumed that because we had... More

This museum is unlike any other I have visited. It displays excavated cloth market from hundreds of years ago. While the uniqueness makes it interesting I would recommend using the time to visit the Wawel Castle or one of the old churches instead. It is a welcome distraction on a hot or rainy day but the ticket system makes it... More

The Underground Museum gives you a great sense of Medeival Krakow. It is a really unique layout (as it is literally under the city center), and very well planned. There are some great relics to see and a decent amount of interactivity. Definitely worth a visit.

There were some fascinating bits to this museum and some excellent touch screen displays on aspects of life and work. However, the route around the main section was not really very clear and I think I may have missed some bits out.

This site is conveniently located in Cloth Hall and is a don't miss site. There are free days, but keep in mind that they may book up weeks in advance. The museum is modern and interactive with hours of interesting short films and collections.

If you like old rrlicts and want to see how Krakow looked like in medieaval time make sure to ho there. Not so big exposition so you won't get tired. Make sure to buy tickets beforehand as I could buy them for next day only. Very popular place.

Fascinating view of the history of Krakow presented in a thoroughly modern, interactive museum. Don't miss the opportunity to see how the Town Square and the Cloth Market evolved. A great place to start before the museum is the small church of St. Adalbert, located in the square. It sets up the museum experience by introducing the concept of the... More
