Suprisingly wide streets and large squares in old town. Everything is bigger and more spacious than I imagined to be. Not so cosy than inTallinn or in Prague but still beautiful. Liked the park around the old town. On a hot day it gives you a shade and chance to rest a little.

I spent a week in Krakow on business in December 2015 and had some of the best times ever; thanks to the historic Krakow close to the hotel where I stayed in (Novotel). Given the season, the Christmas markets were open and they were awesome; different from typical ones you find in Munich or Paris etc. Very local, including not... More

The Centre of Cracow is one of the must see places in Europe. The market square with the old trade hall, buildings from XV century and older (sometimes Xth), restaurants, pubs, etc. A lot of students create a vibrant atmosphere. Preferably visit in Mai till September when the weather is nicer and warmer, people sit outside with green all araound.... More

We were there in February...very cold so crowds were low. Snow on the ground and very romantic. Walking the streets was comfortable, casual and we felt pretty safe, despite warnings of pick pockets...perhaps the cold keeps them away, too :-) as we had no trouble at all..

The main market is a typical "must see" tourist area. Definitely go if you want to capture some of the essence of Kraków. It has been over commercialized as Time Square in New York. I enjoy the historic aspects of the Old Town Main square and breathe in the history within the surrounding area.

We took a city tour on a golf buggy as wanted to see as much as we could in the day. Lovely city to visit with many different areas and a must for history lovers

Just a beautiful area to explore with something for everyone! We enjoyed wandering around the path outside the main centre as much as in the centre. Lots of things to see and cafe pubs to visit.
