The most breathtaking scenery I have ever seen in my life! It was a bit pricy for Poland but the cable car was well worth it. We were able to get tickets through local travel agent the day before which was the best decision because we did not have to wait, the line of people was at least 2 hours... More

I especially loved it as it was early spring and still covered in snow. You best buy your ticket in advance as otherwise the queue is outrageous!!!!

As loutre123 says there is a scam in place here. This scam needs constantly reporting, I work at White Side Holidays Poland and we take hundreds of holiday makers up the cable car at Kasprowy Wierch every year. This scam isn't a new thing and if you are there on a day when this is clearly happening you need to... More

Be aware that there is currently a gang operating an illegal queue-dodging scam for the cable car which will mean you will queue many hours more than needed at peak times. We started queuing at 08.00 on Tuesday 6 August. After 2.5 hours we became suspicious as, although the front of the queue on the steps was moving forward at... More

Was so lucky when went on cable car to the top of kasprowy wierch, had heavy thunder storm a few hours leading up to going on the cable car so there was no queues at all, once at the top the weather had cleared but still the odd clap of thunder that rumbled along the tarns and peaks of the Tatra mountains... When in Zacopane, you should take the cable car to the top of Kasprowy Wierch to see a spectacular view of the Tatra mountains. You literally straddle with one foot in Slovakia and one foot in Poland. The view from all sides is special. If you are feeling adventurous, you can take the cable car up to the summit and... More

The views from atop Kasprowy Wierch in Zakopane are absolutely stunning. A lot of people choose to make the hike, which can take up to 5 hours. For the rest of us, the cable car gets us up there in about 15 minutes. However, there tend to be long line ups due to the limited capacity of the cable car.... More

Number of visitors is limited as tatra mountains are a national park. So consider to buy a ticket a day erlier or you will have to wait for your cable car for a quite long time in a season. And a season time means all summer and all winter time plus holidays. During summer its a best place to start... More

If you’re going to Zakopane to do some serious hill walking, this is the start of many walking trails anyway. If, like me, you go with a friend who isn’t into walking so you’re just looking for some amazing views and a small amble, this is a fantastic place to go, and a million times better than going up Gubalowka....
