Peace of Mind

The Central Cemetery is one of Europe's largest and is very beautiful. Well worth a visit - but be respectful and try not to get lost.

3rd largest cemetery in Europe with graves interspersed with lakes and monuments in acres of woodland. A different experience.

The cemetery is huge, biggest in Poland and third largest in Europe (around 300 000 graves). However its well maintained and impressively nice especially early autumn exploding with colours, and around 1st of November - during the Day of the Dead when it glows with hundreds of thousands of lights.

A wonderful place for a walk, especially in the spring time. The broad walks with rows of beautiful old trees. Perfect for families, couples and alone.

It is such a quiet place. I enjoy walking there. Everything is well-organised and it is unlike any other cemetary I`ve been to.

The cemeteries where you can drive (40 PLN per entry) are very rare - and in Poland this is probaobaly the only one. A charming and large walking area with a lot of trees, birds, and , as they say, wild animals.

Before visiting it with a bunch of candels on the first of November, I did read about it that it is the second largest cemetery in Europe. At that moment I thought it is just a joke. But it is not. That place it huuuuge. With small grave-neighbourhoods, maps, fountains, alleys, information about important historical moment and people who are... More

I visited in October and I must say it was something magical about that place. Leaves falling from trees, fresh air and quiet, peaceful surroundings. It is huge place so it is easy to be lost. I was a bit afraid of that so I went to purchase a map from office it cost me only 4zl which is 1... More

I was born in Szczecin and this is the place you can't miss. IT IS HUUGE , 8th biggest cemetery in Europe? It's very calming , beautiful each season : our beautiful blooming springs , hot sunny summers , golden wet autumns or white fluffy winters.. Unfortunately last few years it's also had an emotional add to it 💔.. It's... More

This cemetery is a kind of oasis of calm. It size make it the biggest park in Szczecin. Historical graves there reminds about famous Szcecin's citizens from old time. This is one of the most favourite places for walking and looking for a silence. Lot of people rune there, but not sure is it good idea. Necropolis is so big,... More
