Most people have read about the Crusades to Jerusalem & the Holy Land. Malbork Castle is the home of the Northern Crusades to convert the pagans in the Baltic region. Malbork Castle was an unexpected surprise for us, near Gdansk in Poland, it is said to be the largest brick castle in the world. The repairs from WWII are largely completed - save for areas that are left in ruin as a memorial. Castle itself is good fun, with drawbridges, keeps, and even an original water closet.
