Probably the most popular photospot in all of Gdansk. The fountain from 1633 is really beautiful and the location on Dlugi Targ just in front of the town hall is pretty perfect. The fountain was actually dismantled and hidden during the war and wasn't put back until 1954.

There were a ton of people there when we went to visit. So it took some time for the crowds to clear before we can get a nice shot with the fountain. There are a lot of restaurants and souvenir shops on both sides of the fountain. We had a great time - just keep in mind the souvenirs were... More

Neptune's Fountain is in the center of the Long Market, a masterpiece by architect Abraham van den Blocke (1615). The moulding was made by Piter Husen. It was commissioned by the city council of Gdansk that wanted to give the citizens something beautiful and impressive. The bronze statue of the Greek God of the seas, dates from 1615, designed by... Gdansk has lots of history. Try the walking tour but beware its 2hours long - not good on a cold day.

it's a beautiful statue/fountain in the beautiful main street. Definitely worth the time to walk the street and admire the fountain.

There is much to notice on this delightful fountain where Dluga Street widens out. In the winter when we were there, there was really pretty Christmas tree next to it. However the real interest is in the minor statues surrounding the fountain.

Currently the city Christmas tree sits right next to this. It is just one of many things worth looking at and photographing in the beautiful main historic street in Gdansk. It is "just a statue" but one that is symbolic of the city and nice to say you have visited

Amazing statue, great restoration and worth a photo definitely. There's some amazing sights in Gdansk and this is not to be missed.

It's a fine looking fountain, good for a photo opportunity with the Artus Court as the backdrop. As it is literally just a fountain, there isn't much to do other than take a photo of it and move on but nearby there is the aforementioned Artus Court to visit or the Town Hall as well.
