It's a fine looking fountain, good for a photo opportunity with the Artus Court as the backdrop. As it is literally just a fountain, there isn't much to do other than take a photo of it and move on but nearby there is the aforementioned Artus Court to visit or the Town Hall as well.

The most popular stop on the Long Market. In Gdansk for about 600 years in operation medieval river water pipes supplying water to the public fountains and wells. Fountain of Neptune was one of those places. Currently particularly popular among children. The original iron bars and eagles on the fence. Artistic blacksmith, silversmith and furniture belonged to Gdansk traditional crafts.

This fountain structure (dry; it doesn't look as if has gushed water for a long time) is unmissable as you stroll up the main street in the old town. There will probably be a group of Gdansk teenagers and/or a flock of surprisingly plump pigeons hanging around it. It is surrounded by a high fence; at its centre is Neptune... More

One of the most known sights in Gdansk. What I liked the most was the sorrounding buildings which make a perfect background for your pictures, wherever you shoot from. Very photogenic.

One of the iconic places in Gdansk to have your photograph taken Beautiful location, with some great buildings nearby There is a local legend that once every 100 years the statue comes to life and stirs the water with the trident, turning it to gold (linked to the local drink Goldenwasser)

I just fall in love with this place. No matter if you will visit it during the day, or at night. This place has an atmosphere.

You cannot miss this Neptune's fountain as it is right in the middle of Dluga street (one of five Neptune's fountains ) . Unfortunately there was no water in the fountain which somewhat detracted from the beautiful statue.

Nice fountain, but that's about it. Currently fenced (not sure if it will stay this way), so you can't even make a good photo of it.
