I cannot believe more people do not visit Gdansk! It is a beautiful city, with so many buildings and streets to wonder down. The only thing we noticed is that it was quite quiet during the day so if you're looking for a buzzing city, this is perhaps not the right place for you. It was perfect for us though.

To call this the number one attraction in Gdansk is to highlight the problems with listing it as an attraction and allowing people to rate it. Of course they're going to say 5 stars, because it's very nice, but it's not really an attraction - with the exception of a zoo, the Solidarity museum and the PGE Arena, there's not... More

Lovely town with plenty of historical buildings and lovely architecture. Take a camera and take your time as almost every building is different.

most of the city was destroyed during wwii. the city did a wonderful job of rebuilding. notice the little details and beautiful restoration. If you like Dutch architecture, you will love Gdansk. I think it is as pretty as the square in Brussels.

Old Town Gdansk is one of those cities where it's beauty shines at night. Streets and buildings are well lit and adds depth and character to the area. Walking along the canal is gorgeous where you will find shops and restaurants. Walking through the old city gates you will find the many restaurants and amber shops but you must get... More

The 'Long Street' had lots of beautiful amber shops, with helpful assistants. We went into perhaps six shops and all were equally pleasant. Always check to ensure the business has a certificate of authenticity for the amber - don't be fooled by the imitations in the markets on the side alleys. Be careful with parking also. There are many car... More

It is another beautiful Polish city, well kept, clean and tidy with nice looking buildings. There are all the usual tourist shops and loads of great food places. If like me you love the Polish cuisine then you will enjoy a visit here.
