Had no idea that Gdansk would be one of the high points of our trip. It is amazing to see the authentic reconstruction that has been done since WWll. The 17th century homes that have been rebuilt in the same manner and style is fascinating. You would never know that most of the old town houses were reduced to rubble... More

We visited the beautiful Gdansk and was very happy with our tour guide. I would highly recommend to take up on a 1 on 1 tour, as its worth the extra you pay. Our Tour was booked through our hotel, Raddison Blu and would def do this again.

This guy was fantastic!!! His recollection of historical events and his willingness to answer difficult questions made his tour one of the most fun and memorable tours I have been on!!! We loved him!!

Funny, when your expectations are low, you always get nice surprises. So it was with Gdansk (but then, we did only see the Old Town). The soviets bombed and completely trashed this pretty Dutch-style sector in WW2 (1945) for reasons no-one understands much. But the hard-working Poles have been busy since then, and they have spent time and money re-building... More

I saw pictures of the old city of Gdansk and I wanted to see it myself, so on our trip to Poland we took the Polish train from Warsaw to Gdansk. Situated on the coast of the Baltic Sea, which lies in the Pomerania region, together with Sopot and Gdynia they they form a Tricity. Gdansk has rich history and... More

We visited the Stutthof death camp first, 25 miles east of Gdansk, It was a sad morning for me, let me tell you. Fortunately, we did a walking tour of the old town of Gdansk that afternoon. Absolutely beautiful ancient port city. All sorts of interesting attractions, like the Great Crane, which was the largest in the world in 1944.... More

We walked through ourselves instead of keeping with the tour, we had a wheel chair and it was easier that way.It was good to see, pretty old, like a big flea market.

Expecting to find only a grimmy ship building town, how nice it was to see Old Town Gdansk. This part of town is a bit like Holland, with a comfortable ambiance and a lot of sight seeing by foot. There are also some wonderful old churches and cathedrals to see. Amber is everywhere, but not nesessarily available at the best... More
