It was nice from outside, but we didn´t go in, as I read in advance this was waste of time and money. So it looked like. Nothing special in offer.

It costs 80 CZK to get into the castle. There really is not much to see on the inside. I was expecting more. This is not worth your time and money. Maybe it is better during special events.

Rescue and renovation finally in 2004. Today, the castle it is a cultural event venue and offers several interesting exhibitions, range of events and festival - Colours of Ostrava... More

They did not have many visitors during Autumn and the place looks rather dull. It might be a nice place for kids, but other than that, there's nothing much to do at this site.

Nice place, although it seems to be more commercial focused, than historical. Looks like they organize parties, concerts, weddings there. Maybe therefore they have money and the castle is in a good shape. Still worth visiting! Make sure to take your kids to the dungeon, they will love it!

I was lucky enough to be here for the Easter festival. There were a bunch of stalls selling all kinds of crafts and food and drink. The apple cider was particularly good. The food was also pretty good. There was a small stage with dancing and bands playing. The music was very traditional, the castle itself is both old and... More

History points towards a strong possibility that dinosaurs once roamed the area I live. However at no point have I felt the need to mug tourists off for access to my back garden with a promise of historical significance. With all the charm and historical pertinance of a refrectory Calvary franchicise found in the UK , this wedding venue offered... More

I heard some "wow" feedbacks about this castle before. but most probably the visits were made before the major refurbishment of the castle happened. because refurbishment has killed all what the castle was supposed to mean about there. normally when you say "castle" - this is about medieval ages, history and stuff. now it looks like the renewal was sponsored... An interesting history of the Castle, exhibition of Christmas Nativity scene, many of the attractions for adults and children. A beautiful path across the River to more attractive locations (Miniuni, Marine Aquarium and the center of the city).

One of the most historic cultural monument of Ostrava City. Originally gothic castle was rebuilt into a renaissance chateau. Great place to visit esp. during COLOURS OF OSTRAVA (international music festival) or SUMMER SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL!!!
