There's a botanical garden inside the Bezrucovy Sady with paid entry, but I'd suggest you keep to the free part if all you're looking for is a quiet green place to have a walk / read a book under a tree. close to the city nice walk,old town walls and a few watch towers and old abandoned buildings.there is also a old bomb shelter i think somewhere along the wall

This park is located between the Mill Channel of the Morava River and the largest section of the medieval city walls. It has parallel walking and biking paths. Bezruč gardens is a long narrow park between the mill channel (a branch of the Morava River), and the largest remaining section of Olomouc's baroque city walls.
