Exterior architecture and interior decoration both are beautiful. There appears to be a marijuana grow operation just around the corner. A little hard to find, and tucked away in a corner of the city.

For church and architecture lovers this is a really nice place to see. The gothic windows and arrangements are stunning. The acoustics here is just amazing (mind you you have to keep silent but trust me, it's great).
I was very happy that I had a chance to spend some time there. Inside the cathedral the architecture and athmosphere were amazing. Also the outside view is very nice, Front view with towers is beautifull. Main tower is 102 m high.
This building is really an dominant of Olomouc city. It is an excellent example of Gothic Revival. Construction...

Czech people are really aware of everything that's connected with the name of Český kníže Václav))). This Cathedral in Olomouc isn't exeption
The imposing building and the interior of this church is impressive. The church rooftops had been recently restored and one can see the shining roofs from the city. The interior seems to be made up of 2 different chambers, leading to the sacred altar at the end of the building.
Although possessing an impressive exterior the inside seemed small & plain . Looked as if it might be suffering from 19th century restoration. As the seat of several past cardinals surprisingly little seems to have been spent.
We visited this Church and had many visual surprises. Built, rebuilt and remodeled through the centuries, this complex has lots of history and lots to see. The museum is across the way and St Anne's Chapel is next door. We saw the spires everywhere we went in Olomouc, so decided to just head that way and there it was. The...

I like to visit churches because they are places to learn, as well as to pray. Here at Saint Wenceslas I discovered the tomb of Saint John Sarkander, who was tortured and killed during the Thirty Year's War for refusing to break the seal of confession.
Free tour in English offered as I walked in, completely redone - almost as much a working Museum. I don't love churches but this one stands out and is 5 stars all the way
The oldest St. Wenceslas cathedrale in Olomouc is typical gothic cathedrale with high spires visible from big distance. Visit of the cathedral interior is unforgetable experience.
The oldest parts are from early 12 century. the original Romanesque basilica was later on rebuilt in Gothic style. The last Neogothic reconstruction was done in the end of 19th century when the third...
