From the outside, it looks just like the St. Wenceslas Cathedral in Prague. The inside is beautifully decorated. Be sure to see the shrine with relics of St.John Sarkander, who was canonized by Pope John Paul II beside one of the pillars.

Not very crowded - probably because it is at the end of city center. From outside you will think a what a bignew gothic style) cathedral - from inside it is little church - funny

If you're from the New World, Asia or less than an expert in styles beware: it only looks Gothic and has been rebuilt from scratch in 1800s. Authentically old stuff is located more centrally. Forget this and head straight toward the main market square. Unless of course you’re a fan of ‘inspired by’ architecture.

We did not spend much time here, but were glad to have looked around,. Perhaps more spectacular from the outside, but the golden chapel was beautiful.

This cathedral is a staple of the Olomouc skyline, so definitely worth a visit. It's in a nice part of town. Take the metro from the central square. It's open most of the time, so take some quiet time for a peek around.

The cathedral is beautifully decorated and people who likes to visit churches and cathedrals shouldn't skip this one. Another nice thing to see is the Museum just next to it. They have some really old and beautiful wooden statues of Saints and manuscript.

Beautiful church, very intimate, due to fires, etc., has been rebuild many times. Beautifully finished inside, the painted designed on the walls and columns was breathtaking. We were meet at the door by a guide who took us thought the whole church, including the treasury. Guide spoke very good English.

Anybody who appreciates history should come to this place. It is a magnificent structure with rich decoration inside out, and priceless church artifacts. The mystic atmosphere is multiplied by burial chamber for church dignitaries. It is at the lowest level and even during the hottest summer, it is "creepy" cold there. One floor above is (or was) a small exhibition... More

Delicate painted vaulted ceilings and highly decorated walls, chapels etc., in this large cathedral a little outside the main historic centre, but still close by (5-10 minutes' walk).

It's incredible that you can even do it to a church: the inside of the church is full of some stands and tables with some brochures and leaflets for tourists. And I mean, you literally see them in every corner and near every column. Inside the cathedral. It totally kills the atmosphere, and I (although not a religious person) thought... More
