Dating from the early thirteenth-century. A tourist office was outside but the Town Hall not open. They had a crocodile hanging in entrance – protective DRAGON!

Great building. Very friendly people at the information desk. The famous Brno dragon smells a little suspiciously - I thought it was a plastic model, but...

We were there after hours so had limited access. Interesting architecture. Make time to visit the area.

Worth a visit, but there wasn't a ton to see. Glad I stopped by, but don't strain yourself to get there.

The old town hall houses a number of small but interesting exhibits. This has a gothic portal and a number of turrets built above it. There is an alligator hanging from the ceiling in the entrance, and the building is nice. There also is the information center.

You just have to see the Brno Dragon while you are in Brno, especially if you are from Florida, as I am. And the view from the tower is worth the climb. But you can see the whole thing in 30-45 minutes.

The Old Town Hall with its tower, bent Gothic decoration on the entrance and random crocodile suspended from the roof is a must when visiting Brno. Go up the tower and explore the courtyard. Fascinating. Visited in sep 2011.
