My goodness, there are 13th century buildings, restaurants, museums, shopping, you name it it's here. The square is a hub for all. It's spectacular

Nice for walk. Not too big, so you can have a quick walk (around 60 minutes) to see all, or you can take you´re time for a whole day. There are a lot of churces, museums to see, and also a lot of restaurants to eat and drink for a very low price.

The old town is small but perfectly formed. A huge bonus is the absence of hoards of tourists in large groups and waving selfie sticks around. The whole old town can be seen in a few hours, but we had a real sense that a lot of effort had gone in to refurbishing old buildings. Most of the local sites... More

We spent a very enjoyable city break in Brno. It is pedestrian friendly and a pleasure to walk around. If you set aside around 3 hours you can take in most of the treasures that the city can offer. The astronomical clock is a must, take time to learn the wonderful story of why the city bells chime at 1100... More

Well... it is strange but the Historic Center is equally very during gloomy winter days and in sunnier spring/summer days. The buildings retain their original rustic look and it is very convenient the fact that all cars are forbidden (at least the better part of the day) from going through it. There are many shops/stores/pubs/restaurants/caffes to cover every taste.

Czech's second largest city is a good size. Hilly so tricky if walking is a problem and set out over a large area. The historical area is currently being renovated but is worth seeing all the same. There are impressive churches and a fort. The shopping centre is very comprehensive with plenty to do.

Very clean and picturesque little centre. Great little Christmas market. Everything you'd need from a town centre. Lots of side streets off the main square with numerous charming little bars and restaurants.

The historic center is beautiful, full with history, stores, restaurants, entertainment, nice for walking and exploring. It has also great public transportation so it's easy to get around.

Dear All, Brno has a great historical center. There is a lot of attractions. Very nice view from the old city hall tower. In the nice weather you can see whole city and surroundings. In the Zelný trh square you can go underground which is after reconstruction. It is very interesting and nice place- full of history. Next to this... More

We enjoyed walking around the center of Brno. It is a shame that it is not even mentioned in many travel books. The church was spectacular, and the old town is very well kept and charming. We are glad we spent a night there at the exceptional Grandezza Hotel.
