Took Studentagency bus and the bus station is right at the downtown center. You just have to walk cross the stres by Grand Hotel and the lively town is right behind. It is a very modern city comparing to Cesky Krumlov or Telc that we have been. Wifi is covered the whole city and its free. You can login once... More

Brno is far more relaxed than Prague, no one seems to be in a rush. Its baroque façades, renaissance and gothic buildings, cobbled streets, its palaces and monasteries reflect the fact that it was at one stage a Hapsburg powerhouse. It is a thriving university city now and is a great city. If you can manage it, get a ticket... More

Well worth visiting for a couple of days. The city square(Freedom Square) is very nice.Surrounded by restored houses and full of shops and restaurants. It is worth to sit in one of them for a couple of hours and just watch people, while having one or two of the excellent Czech beers. Also the streets radiating from the Square are worth exploring.Short walk will... If your time is limited, stay in Prague. But if you have an extra day, experience how the Czech people live in 2014. Brno is very quaint and the selection of beautiful churches is worth your attention. Coffee shops and a fine selection of eateries will serve you well.

Could sit on this square for hours, great people watching. Accidentally caught a classic car parade too.

Worth a stroll round to catch the juxtaposition of old Belle Époque and newer functionalist architecture. We loved the novelty. Clearly some good work is being done re-laying the cobbles in the town square. We sat outside with a beer opposite the old Apollo Hotel and watched people going by. Ice cream looked popular!

I spent one day visiting it, and I don't regret it. It has nice streets and buildings. Too bad some places were in works.

It is quite possible to walk around the whole city center in one day. It is very compact. Inside the center, virtually everything you see is beautiful.

The historic centre is beautiful, houses look restored and kept in a good condition. There is definitely a lot to see as well as plenty of places for a coffee or a nice meal.
