"Cabbage Market" under refurbishment

Currently all dug up and under refurbishment. Can see the Parnassus Fountain from a distance. Some interesting buildings in the general area.

The vegetable market square is a serious piece of history in Brno. Not only is it older than Brno itself, it's also one of the oldest public squares in the Czech Republic. There is almost year round market activity on the square as fruits and vegetables are sold continuously from spring through autumn and winter sees the square incorporated into... More

Zelny trh is for me more interesting than the main square Namesti Svobody. I enjoy the markets taking place here in summer as there are plenty of interesting offers and a variety of quite good fresh food from south Moravia. Even Christmas markets here are somehow nicer and more comfortable. It feels more like Christmas with a small stage instead... More

The markets are somehow connected to Christmas and they are partially connected to the main, but it is a little bit smaller than the main square. The markets are connected to crafts and local stuff. Have a little walk around and you can explore the area and see some crafts and buy some nice products. Furthermore, there is a wide... More

Saturday morning means one has a perfect chance to walk at the market with a long history. I love the colours of presented goods and small pieces of literature written to persuade customers to buy. Pumpkin time is peaceful and full of joy. Come and see.

We shopped this market on a sunny Friday in July. It was full of fruit and vegetable stands. The riot of colors and smells was fantastic - fresh cherries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, apricots and more. All great to carry on our tour around town.

An uneven surfaced area where there were many fruit and vegetable stallholders as well as those selling plants, mostly herbs and other food plants. It does hide an underground secret as well. The statue in the centre is of interest too and one needs to see it to appreciate it and its age. This market has been in use for... More

This is a very popular square in my hometown, though not the biggest one. It is named after all the fresh ingrediences inevitable for any cook either professional or amateur. Local people love to buy farmers products there, not only cabbage or green herbs that smell so nice. Lovers have their dates near the Parnas fountain in the centre of... More
