The Jewish Ghetto of Trebic is amazingly preserved yet filled with modern day life. It's best explored on foot, just seeing where each little street takes you. The rear synagogue is well preserved and includes a 3D rendering of the original village. It helps to see this overview of the shtetl as well as from the various vantage points when... More

The old Jewish quarter of Trebic has been nicely preserved by UNESCO. One of the synagogues has a beautiful presentation of life the way it used to be, and the Jewish cemetery is beautifully tended to. Strolling through the quaint streets of the Shtetl reminds you of the past.

Třebíč is pretty nice point to stop on the way from Prague to Vienna. I did not want to drive 3+ hours in jet-leg so I found it as interesting point to spent a night. It is typical small Czech city with old Jewish quarter. Here is few pictures from my photo blog: http://keeppy.com/mykeeppy/keeppies/5e4b14f969535518
