Lovely pint of Guinness.

We called in on our walking tour of Prague and warmed up with a lovely pint of Guinness. Great bar staff, who were friendly and engaging. Really cool pub.

We had a good night in here, good food, cheap drink and the music was good to sing along to and a wee dance also :)

The drinks were good and reasonably priced, and the staff were very friendly. However, on the downside, they have some big screen t.v's, and on the night England were playing a friendly match, May 24th, they showed it on the big screens. But the following night, Ireland (and this being an apparent Irish pub) were playing and they only showed... More

Just a brief review on this one, the pub itself is of a good size, with a few big screens. Great choice of beer at good prices, and a good choice of food. Def. worth a visit and a beer or 10. Very friendly and hospitable managers, cheers Mark for all your advice/tips and help.

Shamrock irish pub - I loved that place! Had a great time there! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great! Prices are not bad for city centre, also got happy hours :-) The Staff makes you feel very welcome. I can recommand that lovely Shamrock pub to everyone! Have a great stay in Prague, guys! zuzi

Food good value and plentiful, beer shockingly overpriced even for the center, nearly $6 US for a pint for the local stuff, service slow and very average. It's a huge fairly characterless place that can't decide if it's a Sports bar or a music pub and suffers because of that. The band I saw on a Saturday night (Relay?) were... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
