This museum really transmits the crazy atmosphere you can find in Kafka's books. There is nothing ordinary in this museum - photos are not hanged on the wall but are laying under water, the sounds and music are surreal... I even felt the floor moving but then it turned out to be the result of my personal overfatigue (but it... More

If you're interested in the life of Kafka, then this museum certainly presents a lot of useful information. However, I'm not sure whether it improves meaningfully on what a good biography might present. The style of the museum seems to be trying to present a "Kafka-esque" environment, which we found a bit silly and distracting from the content of the... More

This Museum is very interesting and explores (in a very light way) both life and work of this great Czech writer. The atmosphere is really Kafkaesque with distorted images and music. The lightness of it can be a problem for true fans but can also be a nice start for those who begun reading Kafka. It's not expensive to get... More

The big attraction outside the Kafka Museum is the fountain with the peeing men. Do not waste any money making a wish: a man comes regularly with his magnetic stick and takes all the big coins out… and probably buys beer with it...sorry. I felt like this museum was a tourist trap and an insult to Kafka (he never wanted... More

I find it ironic how many people state in their reviews that you will only like this museum if you are a fan of Kafka. I am a fan of Kafka and found this museum to have very little content relevant to his work. I found the neurotic atmosphere to be theatrical, weakly executed, and ridiculously sensational. For someone who... More

I learned a great deal more about an author that I fondly remember from my college German classes. Well worth a visit! More

I enjoyed the ``wet`` sculpture in the courtyard and the gift/bookshop. The museum managed to skilfully convey Kafka`s history, his views and works, and also to create an atmosphere that depicted his attitudes. The souvenir guide book was well done but was too heavy to add to my luggage (after 5 weeks of travel). Too bad there was not an... More

Outside in the courtyard is a great piece of art, a sculpture - "Streams" by a local Prague artist, David Czerny. It's worth seeing in and of itself. The museum is well done with a variety of mediums giving the information on Kafka: movies, slides, manuscripts, pictures and even a couple of cool rooms that are lined with file cabinets... More

We read about this on a flyer somewhere while we were visiting. First of all, it is not associated with Kafka in any way. It is basically a collection of photocopies of his letters and manuscripts. There did not appear to be any air conditioning, and it was quite warm upstairs. If you are a big fan of Kafka, it's... More

When you reach here a statue of two men facing eachother and urinating one by one welcomes you! what a concept! I spent two and half hour in the museum and was happy to read all about Kafka and his family, friends,Prague during that time.we saw a film also. The ambience is just right to go back in history. If you love Kafka...
